Was hoping Beta 3 was for Rockband 3. Hopefully that will be next, have everything playable on the RB3 platform with just 1 monster SDHC card.

It's not going to support RB3.

One of the developers(possibly both, AerialX isn't terribly vocal about, though) absolutely hates RB3 on the Wii, and doesn't want to give anyone a reason to buy it.

I'm not terribly happy about the decision, but it's his choice, not ours.

though customs on RB3 certainly are possible, AerialX apparently got them working.

Pretty much this. If it happens, it's probably not going to be a huge thing like 3.0 is; that said, AerialX has talked about getting around the 1000 song limit before in IRC, so I wouldn't imagine that it's not out of the realm of possibility that eventually something will happen.

I hope so. Unfortunately it seems the only competent developers who are interested in RB stuff on the Wii won't be doing anything.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but where/when did he say these?

In the IRC room. However, he recently said something to the contrary:

IRC wrote:
Well, I suppose I'll get around to adding support in the b5 Wii app for basic RB3 customs.

So there

Excellent. I really hope we can get the RB1/2/Lego/Beatles songs in RB3, to overcompensate for the lack of export options that Harmonix/Ninty have given up. Fantastic work from all involved.

Beatles will not happen. Audio is extra super cakey protected/encrypted.

I'm going to create a custom song for rb2 (wii). What about vocal support? With EOF (Editor for FoF) it is possible to create vocal charts, too. Are they supported by RawkSD? If not, is there another solution to create songs with vocals?

EOF created MIDIs will pass Magma (version 2), so hopefully that means RawkSD won't have issues with them. I've written a lyric conversion program (FoFLC) that converts between various formats, so you could author vocals in various programs, such as those for creating UltraStar vocal charts if you wanted to. Just convert to a Rock Band style MIDI at the end and optionally merge it with a MIDI that has instrument parts for the song.

And it appears the RawkSD developers aren't going to be doing anything, either.

Any reason you can't simply search you-know-where-customs-are for the Beatles charts which are in plain sight?

Also:

Any proof of this or is he blowing water?

Any reason you can't do it yourself and import as customs?

Also, fyi charts =/= multi-track audio files.

In this case, it's simply too long, tedious, impossible, or any mixture. Also, I'm pretty sure multi-tracks for the TB:RB songs are on said site, too, either way, the charts come with the song, so you'd be good to go.
