You may be right, but I'm guessing that the average person doesn't know the difference between the RB1 and RB2 engines. _________________

TP1&2 were based on RB1, and therefore had a solo tour with tiers for each instrument (except Bass) and a quickplay mode to place on the leaderboards. AC/DC had no tiers, but it had a solo tour for different files and star tracking.
But this...what is it, exactly? It's based on RB2, so surely there's no solo tour. Which means you just have quickplay, and it's bunched into the tiers its in in RB2, no 5 songs per tier like the traditional track packs. Which seems a bit of a cop out, IMO.
Also, does it contain Breakneck speed? No Fail? Select Venue? Awesome Detection? etc.? |
Actually, it's still based on the Rock Band 1 Engine and Interface. Anything exclusive to Rock Band 2 is missing. BNS, No Fail, World Tour Career, etc. are all missing to my knowledge. |

So if this uses the RB1 engine than it has no BNS, correct? |

That must be 360/PS3 gameplay, because on the PS2 the interface is nothing like that. Also, sorry for misleading anyone if the Track Pack does happen to use the Rock Band 2 engine on all the other consoles. All the info I'm spewing is based on my PS2 copy.

That would be correct, if it does use the Rock Band 1 engine on the other consoles (which, from the looks of ShiftBreaker's video, it does not). _________________

I own the Classic Rock Track Pack for the Xbox 360 and I assure you, it's the same engine from Track Pack 2 (Rock Band 1). _________________

I recomend that you buy this track pack instead of getting it as DLC, you'll save about 10 dollars that way. |

Those bastards at HMX are always favoring the DLC consoles over everyone else....do they not get the fact that they need to quit going back to caveman times and base them off of RB2? Honestly, you think with what little stuff is on this disk they could have at least taken the time to put some, you know, features onto it and maybe make it a halfway decent game. Its sickening how much disparity doing it creates among the consoles in terms of difficulty, as seen with the exportable RB1 and the ACDC pack. _________________

While I am getting this, I have to say that I am somewhat disappointed with the setlist. There shouldn't be ANY repeat artists, especially this many. A much better setlist would be:
Tempted
Closer to the Heart
She's Not There
Midnight Rider
Bad to the Bone
Dr. Feelgood
My Best Friend's Girl
All Right Now
Don't Stop Believing
Peace of Mind
Take It on the Run
Take the Money and Run
Who Are You
Heartbreaker
My Old School
Renegade
The Boys Are Back in Town (Live)
China Cat Sunflower
Funk #49
Space Truckin
Also, a curious question I have. Let's say I have most of these, but not all, and I want to use the included code to get the rest. Will I essentially have two files of the songs I already have on my hard drive? _________________

So if it is the Rock band 1 engine, does that mean its going to suck on wii
Cause if so, im just going to wait for these as DLC _________________

Yes. Best Track Pack by far up to this point. I'm not about to bitch about repeating artists when said repeating artists happen to be Boston, Rush, The Who, and The Police, although I don't quite agree with including that Siouxsie song. _________________
