does anybody have drum videos of the album? I can't find any on youtube.
also, played through the album on guitar, and it was WONDERFUL.
I never thought Texas Flood would be beaten for most creative use of hopo chords... but man we get some good stuff. A trill between BO and YB chords that fluctuates in speed? A slow G - (BY) hopo/hopochord trill?
and a chain of hopo chords in one of the earlier songs that probably gives bodhisattva a run for it's money in terms of insanity.
But they're all great fun!
now if only my drums weren't dead... |

Try corporalgregg's vids. He also has the vids of Guitar/Bass, but you've probably already seen it. ¯\(°_o)/¯ |

i love the Thank You Boys vocals.
Meh, not exactly my cup of tea, you figure after Stop! and Mountain Song you could have a good song, but whatever.
Here's hoping to some good metal next week \m/ _________________

The strum limit absolutely ruins Idiots Rule on guitar.
Fun pack though. _________________

The guitar looks very fun, unfortunetly for me though I cannot stand the singer's voice. I just can't put up with how annoying it is.
But for everyone else I do advise getting a bunch of these if you play guitar. _________________

Ocean Size, Had a Dad, and Idiots Rule are the must-gets for guitar. Surprisingly, Ocean Size is the lest difficult of the three _________________

I remember a while back, someone said "Up the Beach alone is going to be more fun than the entire Texas Flood album." I don't know if he meant on guitar or drums, and either way, he must not have been serious, because I wouldn't call a song with 213 notes as good as that. |
I remember that. I believe it was just a testament to how good Nothing's Shocking is as an album. Hopefully you didn't purchase the song for the chart based on that? |
Uh, no. I watched Npeaen's video; that and I don't have any points.
I should get some, though I don't plan to buy that particular song. |
Like catalan said earlier, they (or you) probably mistakened it with Ocean Size. |
I believe I was the one who made that statement, and indeed that is the case. Like I said in the other thread, I was half-asleep when I listened to the album last, and probably half-asleep when I made that comment. My apologies for the confusion.
Ocean Size is indeed a solo-fest. The whole album is a blast, but Summertime Rolls and Jane Says are boring and annoying to play, respectively, but good songs nonetheless. Same with Up The Beach. |

Thinking in the Shower as well. Those 4 are the best. _________________

Didn't pick up all of these tracks yet, but I think I'm pretty much buying everything that came out today for Wii. Btw, if anyone doesn't have Warriors of Time, go buy it now, it's a really surprisingly fun song to play. Bass is awesome (and that's partially me saying that because I did unexpectedly well on sightread)
And, I mentioned this elsewhere, but Nothing's Shocking songs aren't on Wii scoretracking yet. The other ones seem to be though. _________________

I, on page 2 of this very thread, wrote: | Another wtf strumming section in Idiot's Rule... upwards of 16nps (I get 15.7). |

I just looked through Npeaen's guitar vids of the whole album, and the charts were way, way more fun than I expected. Ocean Size, Had a Dad and Idiots Rule are my favorites.
Summertime Rolls is a bit slow and Jane Says is a bit repetitive, but other than that, the album rocks. _________________
