As a point of interest, do me a favor and name 5 bands that debuted before and 5 bands that debuted after 1991 that you enjoy. Thanks in advance.

I'm probably setting myself up for mockery, but gladly.

Before:
Rush
Warren Zevon
Iron Maiden
Talking Heads
Midnight Oil

After:
Muse
System of a Down
The Living End
Queens of the Stone Age
Rise Against

I got excited when I saw "Cant Stop Rockin", but then it faded. I was hoping for the version by The Four Horsemen.

This is one of my favorite weeks in a long time. Styx is awesome!

Can't decide on if I'm getting the whole pack yet though. The PS3 store hasn't updated yet.

Likewise, in 200 years, some Rush may survive, some Led Zeppelin may survive, but no one will care at all about terrible groups like REO Speedwagon except some obscure space archaeologist from Mars or something studying the music of 1970s Americans. And even he won't care.

I am so, so happy that I can wake up every morning and not have your taste in music. But I'm sure all that bands you listen to are AWESOME by everyone's standards, right? LOL

Agreed. Listen to Roll with the Changes or I Believe Our Time is Gonna Come. If it doesn't make you feel better about the world we live in, you have no soul, sir. Just my opinion. If a band as old as REO has enough fans to get itself into this game, I'm sure people will remember it for the next couple of centuries. Even the Martian space archaeologists (George Lucas, if this is the plot of the next Indiana Jones movie, you should be shot dead for your own good. Stop RUINING MY CHILDHOOD HEROES!)

I'm just a teenager but judging by the music I listen to you would think I'm older.

The Rolling Stones,Led Zeppelin,AC/DC,Aerosmith,Guns N' Roses and a million other bands from the 60s-80s era.

I have heard of Styx and REO.I suppose everyone is stuck listening to their Paramore...

I think in a couple hundred years more bands than just Rush and Led Zepplin will last. I can see why Zepplin would last because they're "soooo great", lol (yes that was sarcasm). I don't see why Rush would also be well known in the future. I would think other bands like Black Sabbath and The Who would probably be known.

BTW, you chose a bunch of good bands. But I too am curious about why 005 asked you for 5 bands.

On topic, has every song treleased this week been FCed?

I was hoping for the song by ZZ Top. Also, REO Speedwagon is a bad band. That is all.

My point wasn't those bands specifically, I don't even like Led Zeppelin that much. It was just that the more influential and creative groups will survive and not the ones like REO Speedwagon. Black Sabbath and the Who are both very influential and creative, so they'll definitely be remembered.

I can't believe people haven't heard of Styx. I'm 12 right now and I heard of the Styx probably around the age of 4-6. As of REO Speedwagon. I've heard of them, listened to some songs, but never was a fan.

On topic, the Styx songs here are awesome, buying Renegade for sure. I don't know about the others. No REO for me.

Yeah, I've never been a huge fan of Zep, but I realise the have good music and I know some people are obsessed with them. Yeah, any band that's just "another good band" won't be remembered. Zep will, Who will, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden will be remebered as the three of them practically invented Metal as we know it (Black Sabbath did invent metal, but the others were really crucial to Metal). Coldplay will be (much to my dismay) as they're "the best band ever".
