The cutoffs will be figured out by 5* cutoffs multiplied by 1.45. Submit either 5* cutoffs or gold star cutoffs to help.
for information on why it's multiplied by 1.45, see PeridotWeapon's post on page 2

In the event that an accurate cutoff isn't known but a close range containing the cutoff is known, the average of the upper and lower bounds will be multiplied by 1.45.

For example, Run to the Hills is between 200,000 and 205,000. The average of these numbers is 202,500. This number will be used as the 5* cutoff in calculations until a more accurate number is produced.

Scores in red are unconfirmed.
Scores in gold are confirmed.
Scores in orange are confirmed to within 100 points.
Numbers in italics are the spread between the lowest gold star score and the highest 5* (non-gold) score.

I have 17 gold stars and 39 5-stars. I'll write down my scores when I get home from work and post them. It will at least be a start to figuring these out.

And sticky please once there's more info in here?

The only one I remember right off my head is ITIP which was right around 141k.

I'll reference mine as well when I get home.

I'd very much appreciate it. Like I said most of these scores are either sightreads or the first/only time I passed the song so there's a ton of room for improvement.

Also, if you two could just edit your original posts with the adjustments to save room it'd be great. Trying to prevent the thread from getting to 6 pages to sort through.

I hope the first post isnt' a list of scores you need to get 5 stars, because some of those are WAY off.

I think it's more of a working collection to figure out the cut-offs for 5 stars and gold stars. I'll be posting my scores here in just a little bit. Most are way above the 5-star limit, and some are gold. I assume this will be a place to find min/maxes for those.

No, it's just a topic to try to figure out all of the cutoffs for Gold Stars. I'm just listing the scores I already have as low boundaries, i.e. you must surpass that score to get gold stars, but we don't know by how much yet.

Have to go to work. I'll update when I get home after midnight.

I know at least Run to the Hills is way off; I don't even think it's gold-starrable by the current formula.

Current formula = 1.5x a 5 star score; I got 170,000 last night and was only at 4 and a half stars, which means 5 stars is around the 190,000 range; for gold stars that would mean you need around 285,000, and the top score is 200,000 or around there; I nearly full comboed it when I got my score too, sooo...

Here are my current scores. All are 5-stars, except those marked (g) at the end are gold. And the two 4-stars.

Say It Ain’t So – 114,525 (g)
Creep – 141,500 (g)
I Think I’m Paranoid – 145,275 (g) (FC)
Wanted Dead or Alive – 134,950 (g)

Gimme Shelter – 186,175 (g) (gold is somewhere between this and 177,550)
Wave of Mutilation – 107,575 (g) (FC) pretty sure this is the highest score possible… used what I believe to be the optimal OD path (and that includes not copping out on the fill going into the 2nd chorus). Gold is RIGHT around 100k, possibly 100.2k
Celebrity Skin – 128,180 (g) (gold is between 125k and this... got it through the BRE)
Mississippi Queen – 111,078 (g)
Here It Goes Again – 133,275 (g) (gold is 130k, confirmed)
Suffrage City – 179,675

Maps – 170,600
Reptilia – 173,200
Epic – 190,800
Blitzkrieg Bop – 132,050 (g)
Should I Stay or Should I Go – 133,250 (g) (gold is somewhere between this and 116,675)
Learn to Fly – 156,625 (gold HAS to be right around there. I’ve only missed 2 notes – although my OD path probably isn’t the best)
Black Hole Sun – 132,480
The Hand That Feeds – 143,670
Sabotage – 92,625 (g) (gold is somewhere between this and 90,700)

Orange Crush – 201,925

Vasoline – 133,550 (gold has to be close... -1 on this)
Electric Version – 164,450
When You Were Young – 152,550
Green Grass and High Tides – 467,575 (g) (gold is somewhere between this and 430,352)

Updated per this information. Thanks a lot, this was very helpful. There is also a lot of work yet to do.

Obviously the scores in brackets have defined ranges and should make these scores that much easier to obtain.

It'd also be nice if anyone has the time to try to get the 'known' cutoffs proven closer than just to the thousand.

Sorry for some of the ambiguous info. Moving forward as I'm improving my scores, I'll try to keep better track of where the gold cut-offs are.

It's alright I'll take all of the info I can get. Every little bit helps, as far as I'm concerned if you're narrowing the range of anything then you're helping.
