So, uh

The Wii got 6 old songs, nothing more for now

Rockaway Beach
Margaritaville
I Fought The Law
Volcano
The Collector
March of the Pigs

And that's all. No announcement yet, so this might or might not be all we get this week.

I tell you what, anyone who bought the Wii Track Packs must be kicking themselves now.

Well, Track Pack 2, at least. What remains from both packs is 21 songs, just over the usual amount for a Track Pack. Some of these were apparently on the store before, too, briefly.

Oh, and I should add that technically, they have added RB1 Songs to the store. Rockaway Beach is on the RB1 Wii Disc, and Hysteria is on the EU RB1 Disc.

Track Pack 1 Songs

"Calling Dr. Love"
"Die, All Right!"
"Gimme Three Steps"
"Joker & the Thief"
"Little Sister"
"Live Forever"
"Moonage Daydream"
"Siva"
"Synchronicity II"
"Teenage Lobotomy"
"Truckin'"
"We Care a Lot"

Track Pack 2 Songs

"Girl U Want"
"Girls Who Play Guitars"
"Indestructible"
"It Hurts"
"Just What I Needed"
"Monkey Gone to Heaven"
"Rio"
"Why Do You Love Me?"
"You've Got Another Thing Comin'"

Fun Fact: Every single Oasis song is now on Rock Band, but they're all completly jumbled up.

Don't Look Back In Anger - Rock Band 1 Wii
Live Forever - Rock Band Track Pack 1
Wonderwall - Rock Band 2 DLC
Rock 'n' Roll Star - Rock Band 1 EU

So basically, anyone who owned Rock Band 1 Wii in Europe came readily equipped with 2 more Oasis tracks than a PS2er in the US.

There has got to be some way to not pay for RB1 songs if you have rb1, I mean dang man why you gotta cut a brother down like that.

Maybe hmx could have us send in both rb1 and rb2 discs and get a new rb2 disc with the RB1 setlist and the rb2 setlist , just a thought.

Sadly I fall into the group who has TP1/2 and AC/DC. I would love to complain about rebuying songs, but it would only fall upon the deaf ears of development at HMX. I'm sure their painstaking programming to make DLC happen with Wii will justify the next 2 years of BS we get fed from them.

On the bright side, this week will only cost me 600 points as opposed to the 4K I blew last week

Let's not start that debate again...

Awesome, awesome week for drummers. Nothing too insane, but a lot of fun, upbeat tracks with interesting charts. Take the Money and Run was way, way more fun than I expected.

i'm really stoked to see 'space cowboy' as dlc. one of the songs i've wanted since day one. i'd love to see any album from pre-'the joker' era released, especially 'sailor' or 'rock love'

Awesome DLC release, I heard a portion of Typical in one of wuLFe's latest videos yesterday and it sounded pretty nice. I'll check out the guitar and drum charts as soon as possible when I come home from school.

I wish HMX could have picked Straight Out of Line instead of I Stand Alone, though.

Here's the bass sightreads, in glorious HD:

- Belly "Feed the Tree"
- Ghost Hounds "Wind Me Up"
- Godsmack "I Stand Alone"
- Mute Math "Typical"
- Rob Zombie "War Zone"
- Steve Miller Band "Space Cowboy"
- Steve Miller Band "Take the Money and Run"
- Steve Miller Band "The Joker"

Typical is the big win on bass this week, Feed The Tree got a music video stage (film student), and amazingly none of this week's tracks got flagged by Youtube. Will wonders never cease...

Oh dag nab it, you've gone HD too? Now I'm the last of the DLC chart people without an HD capture device. Sigh.... I don't have 250 dollars to throw at one...

thats ok. you dont have. we still wait for your vids to go up. we always have and will continue to

Quick Vocal Review:

The Godsmack vocals are very easy, but fun. Nothing that will throw you for a loop.

The Steve Miller songs all have some tricks in them, especially Take the Money and Run with 3 differently pitched "Hoot Hoo's". If you're octave shifting for those, you might be making a few runs through that song before you nail it. There's one other phrase (a couple yeah yeahs?) in the middle of a long break that might catch you off guard, too, but the pitch is the same as some earlier stuff in the song. You'll be ready for it the second time through, lol.

The Joker has a couple tricky phrases, but nothing show stopping. If you know the song, you shouldn't have much trouble.

Space Cowboy has 4 phrases of short, quick, words cycling up and down in pitch that, though they are not tough to follow, seem to be very picky on accuracy. Not much room for slop in them, and you might find yourself needing to sing slightly ahead to keep on it - at least with my calibration.

The only other song I got was Wind Me Up, which I haven't tried yet.

The Steve Miller Band pack is truly the greatest song pack to be released... EVER. There have been many highlights of Rock Band's DLC history - The Metallica pack, the Grateful Dead pack, the Earache Thrash pack, the Boston pack, the Roadrunner pack, and of course much more - but these three songs are truly reigning of this title. Need to get only one of the songs? Don't, 'cause if you don't get the whole pack, you're unworthy.

The five singles are mind-blowingly awesome as well, of course. If you're looking for some incredible tracks to play on guitar or drums, follow my advice and buy all five of 'em.

Godsmack owns. Hopefully we can get more of their songs.
I only know of few Rob Zombie songs but the ones I know are awesome.
