ok i posted this in the other thread that got locked, but does anyone else think that the versions of In Dreams, Pretty Woman, Claudette, Mean Woman Blues, and Ooby Dooby are different than the origional tracks? I noticed that the music store says that they are from a greatest hits album, so is there any chance that they were rerecorded in 87 or whenever the album was released for the album? _________________

Really, this was your first post?
Well at least its not as bad as the ones we got on the NBB/MC songs week.
These songs are pretty decent in fact, idk if I'll pick them up quite yet though. _________________

Was anyone else thinking of Dumb and Dumber while playing You Got It and Oh, Pretty Woman?
Imo, not bad music with not bad (drum) charts. Mostly easy, but enjoyable. _________________

Seems a lot of people missed the fact that in the '80s Roy Orbison had to re-record his music if he wanted to sell anything due to the original recordings getting tied up in legal limbo with the record company. If he hadn't done this we more than likely wouldn't have usable masters anyway. |

I had a lot of fun sightreading these guitar charts.
Lots of random overstrums, which sucks. but good fun. Mean Woman Blues and Ooby Dooby are probably the most fun. Each has decent soloing (ooby dooby has two solos), and outside of the solos each provides a lot of movement and fun.
In Dreams made me "lolwut?" until I picked up the pattern. random combinations of single notes, three note chords, and two note chords, with random off beat double strums... it was fun once I got it, but I was constantly breaking combo the first half of my SR.
You Got It also has I'd dare say the highest percentage of three note chords in any GH/RB song, ever. I'd honestly say that 60-70% of the notes are three note chords. I mean, it's acoustic guitar, so I'd say it's appropriate, and I'm not complaining, it's just worth noting. |
