Just curious, but where do the Sawdust songs fall on that scale?

I didn't classify Sawdust because I really haven't listened to it enough to decide. There are some songs I like, and some I am not a fan, but songs often have to grow on me. Maybe in the near future I will have a better idea.

Hot Fuss I loved every single song on the CD. Sam's Town I have about 5-6 songs I really enjoy, but the rest are kind of boring and I usually end up skipping over them. Day and Age may fall victim to my need of growing into songs, as there is rarely an entire CD that I, as I assume similar with most people, would like on the first few listenings of. I guess it is slightly unfair to rank it last right now until I get a better judgement.

EDIT: Going to listen to Day and Age and Sawdust over the next day and give my new opinions later. Doubt you care this much, but its given me an excuse to =D

EDIT2: This thread now has more replies than any other DLC announcement threads =D

I can confirm that in RB1, the "solo" section of spaceman is NOT a solo, just regualr notes.

it's charted as a drum solo, meaning the background is blue and you get a special percentage counter and solo bonus.

Downloaded Malmsteen pack, tons of fun. My only gripe is that (only checked this song) Caprici di Diablo is charted all over the place. Most of it is undercharted (which is good, it makes a lot of sense), but Chorus 2B and Pre-Verse 2 are overcharted like mad (3rd solo). I'm basing this off playing it on 50%, and I'm hearing about half the notes I'm hitting on my guitar.

No I'm not just saying this because I'm pissed that it's hard. I have a 5* on this song and it's pretty fun.

It looks like harmonix is stepping in up against gh.

I think if harmonix wants the whole "gaming platform" concept behind RB to take off, they need to not only make a great party/full band game, but make it a legitimate replacement for a guitar-centric game like GH, and vocal-centric games like Karaoke revolution, etc.

I think this week is a great example of that, with Caprici being a legitimate rival to the guitar-virtuoso pack (thus helping turn RB into a replacement for GH entirely, not just a more laid back, multiplayer-oriented version of it), and the Killers being very vocal-focused.

TL;DR: Kudos HMX, this whole "gaming platform" idea is becoming a reality.

Edit: not that HMX hasn't being doing stuff like this already, with the guitar focused megadeth album and the vox-focused david bowie pack, to name two examples.

I'm fairly sure that won't have ten pages of replies, but it will get the dishonorable mention of being the first "official rock band news" thread to get locked because of flaming.

i actually laughed when i saw the list of songs. that's sad harmonix.
