2. You might as well stop bitching about the intro not being in there, cuz the GMC,GMD version has a nice strummy solo smack dab in the middle. |
That's true, but the Fresh Fruit version's intro is easily one of the coolest sounding sections in GH3, I can see why people would be disappointed. _________________

Picked up the Dead Kennedys pack and played through them on guitar. Nothing terribly hard (other than me sucking my way through the strummed trills in Police Truck solo and HiC) but all three were tons of fun. Some of my personal favorite DLC in quite some time. |

I'm defintely going to get the Dead Kennedys Pack. It's their three biggest songs. The nerd in me has reservations about how Police Truck was charted, but hey, we finally got some DK.
I'm still surprised they're on the game at all. I mean, I know Jello lost the rights, but still, they had a song called "MTV Get Off The Air"... and three of their songs are on an MTV Published game.
"Pull My Strings" is another debacle all together. But again, not complaining.
I haven't heard of any of the other bands, are they any good? _________________

The Misson of Burma stuff is the pleasant surprise of the week for me, planning to pick it up as well as the DKs. |

Lawl. They pulled a My Last Words on Holiday in Cambodia. Oh well, one less song that won't be FCed. The song kicks ass on bass anyway. _________________

I'm not completely sure what HA means, but HiC is definitely FCable. _________________

Very true; I've already gotten the 100% with one overstrum. Then again, it took plenty of tries, and I can actually nail the My Last Words bursts a little less than half of the time.
Well Thought Out Twinkles is still the real impressive tremolo FC to go for. |

let's put HiC's bass chart into perspective. Aka, you wanna really know how chordy (and FUN) these verses are?
This song isn't super long. It's not a 2 minute punk song, but it's no teenage riot either. 3-4 minutes, fairly average.
I had a decent OD path, hit as many chordy sections as I could and had no leftoverdrive, but missed enough notes to kill a GS run. It was 5 stars though. Given a "normal" bass chart, this score, on RB, would be probably between 100-175K, depending on tempo and number of notes and stuff, right?
My SR score was 336,??? on expert bass. Seriously. 336K from a bass chart, and that's not an FC or even GS. Seriously, hitting nonstop chords under 12X gets you a shitton of points.
and LOL at my Forever x-guitar sightread, SRFC then fail at solo. xD |

Monsoon bass is a good 220k. It's not even fast. _________________

Personally, I never liked the intro to Holiday in Cambodia that much, so this version is just fine with me. I was bothered more by the slowdown version of California Uber Alles, although the drum chart still managed to be plenty fast, especially Bridge B.
Edit: Also, how come Jarett88's drum videos never get linked in the original post? He has them up day of the release almost every week. _________________

And lol at Police Truck being Tier 2 Guitar when it was final tier on Rocks the 80's !! Definitely getting the DK pack just for the hilarious lyrics and catchy rythms !!! |
well it was GH when they were still overcharting things, but its still difficult on the arm for Police Truck _________________
