|
Until further notice, these nights have been suspended. There are still a few nights here and there, but nothing on a regular basis.
Hey guys. I wanted to let you all know about this company that my buddy started up that I also work for that runs video game nights at Boston area bars. We've got a sweet setup that is usually set up on a projection screen with plenty of room to play. We've got good equipment, a loaded hard drive, and all events are hosted by either myself or my friends who are all dedicated Rock Band junkies and all around good guys.
Most (if not all) events are run in bars and thus are 21+
All events are free to play with no cover charge.
Some events are also sponsored with extra swag and prizes!
Check out the new website for the latest info.

I would love to come to one of these, except I'm about 9 months away from hitting 21. |

This sounds awesome considering I go into Boston fairly often (go to college at Bentley). Umm...ahem...hypothetic speaking of course, how strict is this "21+" age thing . You won't even be able to tell the difference between me and those that are actually 21+ I MEAN OTHER FELLOW 21+ers.
I waited a whole 18 years to turn 18 (believe it or not ), but once you do you realize it's not that great and the good stuff comes at 21. You guys have fun though. I guess I'll see you guys in a couple years from now . _________________

None of the bars that I run events at check IDs at the door, so if you just wanted to come and play, that would be cool with everyone. You could of course order food and other drinks to your hearts contenet.
It is also not my responsibilty to enforce the drinking age at the bars (that's the bartenders job) wink wink
As long as you do not tell me your age when you are there, I'll have plausible deniability. So I just assume that anyone who is in a bar and drinking is of age. _________________

As soon as this football season gets over with I'll be coming back to Boston for more rocking.
Hopefully there will be no more laggy "more than a feeling" (cough cough river gods). It was still fun though. _________________

We've recently dropped a few underperforming venues but will be picking up a bunch more in the new year. I am now down to one event a week, but it's a good one. Joshua Tree is a great venue and we've got a bunch of great regular players as well as the random freaks that stop by and try out the game. It's always a ton of fun and I really look forward to meeting all of you and rocking some faces off! _________________

The Joshua Tree in Allston/Brighton should start this...I know at least 15 people - including myself - who would be there every damn week. |

I'll pass that on to Shaun. That would be super convenient for me as I live like 3 blocks from there. Which night would be good for you and your friends?
He also mentioned that Our House West is a possibility as well. (1 block away!) _________________

Spring schedules are probably too chaotic to predict at this point...OHW is a more fun place to go in general, but doesn't have nearly as good of a layout for RB as Joshua Tree would. But you can't beat RB and 2 dollar Brubakers |

I may be subletting an apartment this summer that's like right next to Our House. If something does end up happening there (or wherever) I'll definitely stop by _________________

This is something that would be up to each individual bar and not us. If there is a particular night that you know you'd want to go to, I can check with that bar. But in general, I'd say if you are very young (under 18) there isn't a great chance that I can get you in.
On an unofficial side note, if you are over 18 and look like you could maybe pass for 21, I could most likely get you into any of my events no problem. I'm not saying I can get you drinks, but if you wanted to hang out, eat some food, drink soda and rock out thats all good. _________________
