Those slides just piss me off. Is there any special technique for hitting it? I need help!

P.S. Don't suggest tapping. I just cannot do it.

There's pretty much only two ways...tapping or fast one-hand fingering. There's really only one way to finger it one-handed unless you're into unnecessary sliding...

One-Hand Method

I actually prefer to tap it now, but this is the normal one-hand method and what I used to do.

By the way, I know that you said don't suggest tapping, but you really should try practicing that sometime...it's not as hard as you think; just tap the top note of every scale, effectively reducing them to 3-note scales for your left hand. It is risky to do in real runs when you're inconsistent though.

That's the way I normally do it, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I guess I either need to slow or speed my fingers up.

This, Magnetic Baby, and Prequel to the Sequel are all I have left to FC to get every one of the twenty-free songs FCed.
I wouldn't care if I couldn't FC it if it wasn't for that.

EDIT: Magnetic Baby down. Prequel to the Sequel's also coming today.
EDIT 2: Prequel to the Sequel FC

You probably need to speed up; this section is pretty fast to one-hand (16.4 NPS).

It's very difficult. I just played the song today, and I hit the first like 3 sets of them, but I missed. It's almost a must to tap it. What I want to do is this.

Anchor green with my strumming hand and play RYBORYBRYBORYB so I don't have to slide up at all to hit green. That'd be pretty easy if you're new to tapping.

i actually hit it just by sliding. stay in second position the entire time and slide up to hit green. That to me is much faster then moving your whole hand up to 1st postion every other scale. maybe im just wierd though

If you dont want to tap it, you dont have to

I one handed it when i got the fc, you just have to move your fingers as fast as possible.

OH, and dont forget to practice the shit out of the trill in the outro, I choked there once and that resulted in a les paul flying across the room lol.

I know what pashumba does when he taps it is anchors green with his strumming hand and plays the rest normally. I, personally, suck at tapping on this particular song (except for the outro trill), so I just play it like Mosh 1 from RaBl. That's really all it is, just Mosh 1 on steroids with no breaks. Also, it may help to slide down to green on ONLY the last slide.

Good luck on the FC.

I've tried this, and it works a little better, I hit the first couple of slides before I miss. I may have to practice doing this more.

EDIT: This helps A LOT. I still haven't hit all of the slides yet, but I'm consistanly hitting around 75% of them.
Hopefully I'll get the FC soon.

So... I know that this solo is definitely faster than Raining Blood, but are the two at all comparable? I have a pretty consistent method for RaBl (FC outside Flood!) but even though this solo looks the same, I can never hit it. What's up with that?

I personally do 4321432143214321 on these, though a lot of people do 4321321143213211. I'd recommend trying both to see which one's easier.
