Can anyone get an activation from the first phrase? If so, what lag settings are you using?
My lag settings are 0 Audio/20 Video and I cannot get it. I've tried no less than 50 times with no luck and I'm pretty good at early whammying. When I changed my lag settings to 0/100 I could get it but I'm not going to abuse lag settings for scores. I only ask because if someone can get it with similar settings I'll try it some more. |

I havent been able to as of yet and my lag settings are 0 and 25 (since I still use the old GH1 HS trick instead of BNS/SS).
Ill continue to try but I have my doubts if I can since im pretty bad at wammying. _________________

BTW- MephistoJak told me in a PM that he got the activation but I didn't ask about his leg settings. |

I doubt this is what you want to hear, but a little math shows that you need just less than 1/6 of a beat of early whammy per hold, which is well within the realm of possibility at 127bpm. I'd consider it to be about an 80% squeeze. _________________

What kind of TV is that on, and do you mean -20 and -100 when you refer to those values? _________________

I get it quite often actually. I don't play with lag settings, I have a CRT and I use 0/0 lag.
The key is to also whammy that small HO/PO OD part...I found that no matter how well you whammy the others, you will NOT get a full bar unless you also whammy the HO/PO note. For what it's worth, the notes seem a little more giving than other songs as far as early whammy. (AKA, you can hit them maybe 0.10 seconds earlier than other songs)
If you'd like, I can make a hands video showing the whammy I do to get it. |

@THFS: Mistake on my part- my default values are 0/20 and I moved to 0/-80 when I screwed around and was able to get it. My TV is a mid 2000s Sony 32" Trinitron CRT.
@MephistoJak: Are you strumming the short ho/po hold? I've tried both ways. Many times I wait until the next phrase and with the absolute slightest whammy on the next hold I'm there immediately so I know I'm close. |

I don't have the game, but from looking at the blank chart my technique would be to not strum or anchor when whammying the short HOPO hold, and to basically hit the note immediately after the preceding blue. It looks like one of those annoying phrases where you have to make sure your whammy bar is fully depressed before you hit that hold or else it won't whammy, so try letting go of the bar slightly before the end of the previous hold to avoid that.
Just out of curiosity, were those the same lag settings you used in RB1? _________________
