If you are just looking to pass: skip it, it won't hurt you that bad.

If you are looking to do well: SLOW IT DOWN, practice at 50% then slowly speed it up.

It always comes on the fourth beat (or eighth, etc.). I assume you can hit these in a normal song but just have trouble with this pattern. So think of it as:

DOO-dah DOO-dah DOO-dah DOODLE-dah

... with each word taking the same amount of time

So the first thing you notice is if you just ignore the off-beat base you will break combo at that one spot but regain it right away. If you are losing combo and your meter plummets then you are getting off beat completely. Don't do that .

Once you are at that point, it's just a question of knowing that every fourth one is going to be like that, so you are ready to hit it before it comes.

As the other poster said, 70% FC, 80% FC, 90% FC... it's the best way.

:/ I have more trouble with the stamina required for this song than anything else. I'd be a great breakout player if I could just get that :] lol

I keep focus on the red. I don't think about it while I'm playing, but now that I've analyzed what I do, I think it's because the red keeps me in rhythm. If I focus on the green there's too many notes and I'll get all confused. When my arms are in a rhythm, I'm free to use my feet whenever there's no red notes, and it becomes very easy for me. As long as I don't hit the bass whenever I'm going to use my left hand, I won't break combo.

[edit] I just realize I said nothing to help when it gets "off-beat." Well, I learned it like how I learned the Panic Attack/Painkiller intros: Over time. Play Battery enough, you'll probably figure out the rhythm over time, and you'll understand that it's not simply RL+RBASS+RL the entire way through, and that off-beat bass is actually on beat.

Its just confusing to you because of the speed of it, play it at a slower speed and get the sound of you playing it into your brain, and slowly work your way up until you can play it.
