B.Y.O.B. has to be the most insane song without a solo. Damn it Daron... _________________

I almost got Life is Beautiful, but then I realized that, despite looking solid to play, it would likely get lost in the shuffle. I'll jump on it if the price goes up for the first Cruefest pack, but for now I can wait.
X-Guitar Toxicity is pretty fun. Broke combo the stupid part every time and had a bad path, but I still managed 5 stars.
B.Y.O.B. isn't that hard to pass if you can alt strum. Still, that's the first song I got 3 stars on in a LONG time, probably since my Shockwave sightread, and the only 3 stars in my game. Bad pathing and I think a couple controller issues came into play here, though. Still, easily should have been Tier 9 guitar, or at least lower in Tier 8. _________________

Wow, BYOB guitar is hard and fun, and after 4 tries in a row, I can't 5 star it. Toxicity is DLing as I type. _________________

Life is Beautiful is definitely worth getting. It's fun to listen to and play on all the instruments, and it's only a dollar! Even I picked it up so it must be pretty good. _________________

I love the genre tierings for SOAD...
Toxicity-Metal
BYOB-Alternative
I agree with both, as SOAD is literally alternative metal (not quoteunquote "alt-metal" since there is a difference), but you figure they'd put two songs by the same band in the same genre.
Anyways. Judging by the vids, the buckcherry song is forgettable. Not great, but not horrible by any stretch.
I'll be picking up the rest. BYOB is insane on guitar and drums, Toxicity looks challenging, but fun, Life is Beautiful looks fun on all instruments, and Facedown in the dirt? Well, I just sorta like the song. |

Yes!!! Finally, SOAD! I love everything. B.Y.O.B. looks fun as heck to play on just about everything, doing these songs with a full band is gonna be awesome. _________________

I thought I saw them under Nu-Metal on my game.
I could be wrong though. _________________

This week is amazing. I liked all of the songs, especially the SOAD and Life is Beautiful.
Face Down in the Dirt is just a great song, and I like Rescue Me too.
Oh, and I think I saw SOAD tiered into Nu-Metal as well... _________________

The IGN video confirms Chop Suey is Nu-Metal, so I'd bank these are, too. _________________

WEIRD!
the game puts both SOAD songs under Nu Metal, but the music store puts Toxicity under metal and BYOB under alternative. |
