Did anyone catch this on VH1 tonight? TiVo caught it for me

It's a complete mockumentary of a fictional band called RockBand Band, obviously. It follows a pretty standard VH1-style documentary of the RBB, treating the in-game characters as 'made' musicians

Who is "RockBand Band"?
Rutherford Bennington - Lead Vox
Shakti Lipschitz - Bassist
Captain Thunderdome - Drums
Max Griffiths - Guitar

Guest musicians credit RBB for inspiring them to be musicians...Dave Mustaine, Mandy Moore, Amy Lee (Evanescence)

Pretty funny, and some great footage of the game thrown in here and there.

"They're more than just a band...they're RockBand Band"
"She has done more for women...playing plastic bass, than anyone in the universe" (regarding Shakti Lipszhitz)

More as I watch it ;)

Clearly the best band name is Dave Mustaine's Impetus

I watched the first 3 parts of this on the VH1 website and thought it was pretty lame. The premise is OK I guess and could have been alright, but they don't really make it all that clear what they are (and Band that plays a game), and trying to pass them off as having started in like the 60s is just dumb.

I like South Park's take better. A band that gets famous playing a game pretending to be rock stars.

So in case you aren't looking in the other thread, here are the show times:

11/11/2007 08:00:00 P Sunday WORLD PREMIERE
11/11/2007 11:30:00 P Sunday
11/11/2007 02:00:00 A Sunday
11/12/2007 04:00:00 P Monday
11/12/2007 12:30:00 A Monday
11/13/2007 06:30:00 P Tuesday
11/18/2007 11:30:00 A Sunday
11/19/2007 11:00:00 P Monday
11/19/2007 02:30:00 A Monday
11/20/2007 06:30:00 P Tuesday
11/25/2007 10:30:00 P Sunday

They're all EST, and it's all on VH1 Classic. Also, 8 PM every night this week is a Countdown with the ten greatest drummers, guitarists, etc., starring Rock Band Band. I saw the first one, and I gotta say, it's better than the promo (like that's hard to do rite rite). It's mostly music, with quick Rock Band Band interviews in-between. Since we only have one-liners, it doesn't really get stale. Please check them out and tell me what you think ^_^

I found it slightly corny but still kinda funny.

Also, the fact that Shift had maybe, I dunno, 4 lines. >_>

The only two I remember at the moment are "It was very sad." and "My grandma lives there." Or something. <___<

If you have a chocolate bar in your heart I suggest seeking medical attention.
