First off, I am going to go ahead and say, I used the search funtion to see if anything like this had been posted, and I came back with nothing. So, if this has already been posted about, I am sorry. Blame the search function, not me.

And on to the topic...

I find it difficult to do well in both GH2 and GH3 without the assistance of the hyperspeed cheat. If I do not have the cheat turned on the game seems less fun for me and I never play as well as I should. With me being someone looking foward to RB very much, I am curious as to whether the game will feature a hyperspeed cheat at all. If anyone can prove that it does or does not, please bring it to my attention with proof. And once again, if that has already been discussed/answered, feel free to laugh at me and lock this topic.

I follow RB *really* close (probably unhealthly so), and I haven't seen an answer from HMX.

I will say this though: I play GH with hyperspeed, and I don't actually notice any need for it when I played RB. But, that could be because the songs I played didn't have many difficult guitar parts.

I'm hoping the option will be there. Literally. I'm hoping it'll be an "option", so we can get over this whole 'cheat' business.

Edit: Left out a key word that changed the entire meaning of a sentence.

Agreed, the notes are much easier to separate because of the bar-style notes. Still, there are some times in drums where a pattern like G R G R looks more like GR GR double hits.

I'm pretty sure they said there would be Hyperspeed in the Gamespot E3 demo, but I can't recall for sure...

Lets just hope that, if there is hyper speed, it's either faster than GH2's, or variable, like in GH3.

Honestly the GH2 hyperspeed is way to slow, but, hey, beggers can't be choosers I suppose.

Would be nice to see a GH3 style variable hyper speed.

Then again, that's just coming from someone who whores Hyper Speed 4 and 5 on 3.. and has gotten way to used to it.

The demo does not include any of the more difficult guitar songs.

same goes for drums, hopefully, all of the drums on there were easy as hell

still, hyperspeed is needed because the notes are RAMMED together on rolls.

Well, from your other post you seem to be pretty experienced with DrumMania, so that'll help you. I'm sure you know the inclusion of the bass pedal makes a big difference, especially to those (like me) that are less experienced with drums.

More to the point; I do know that the most difficult song for the drums on the main setlist was not included in the demo (Won't Get Fooled Again).

I wish people would quit judging the difficulty of this game based on the demo. OBVIOUSLY there are a lot of people out there that need to be enlightened on the drums missing the bass pedal in the demo. Starting to get pretty fucking annoying, if you ask me...

And the fact that the note charts in the demo for Expert are probably not final. I read somewhere about the difficulty being ramped up a little bit.
