I Get By's hardest part is the bridge, right? That's tons of big pitch jumps within a small timeframe. Chop Suey doesn't have this.
Reptilia's hardest part is the verses. He isn't singing on beat in the slightest. That's the real problem, the pitch changes aren't really that tricky. Serj's singing is completely on-time and beat. Therefore, you can't really make comparisons with those two songs.
Also, Chop Suey is much more well-known than either of those songs, which also eases up the difficulty of the song. _________________

Well, whatever, how about this, we wait and see which one of us is right, seeing as neither of us seems to be able to concede the other's points. I'll admit it if I'm wrong, but I'd like to see where HMX puts it. (BTW, In my experience both of those songs have strange pitches that don't really seem to match the lines, but IDK.) _________________

Assuming the songs in the picture are sorted correctly, and that "Solid" is one of the easier tiers, this can't be sorted in order of vocal difficulty. Look at the vocal difficulty of Give It Away in the picture. It makes sense that this is sorted by guitar difficulty since Give it Away is only 3/5. Just found this also: http://kotaku.com/397936/rumor-dueling-rock-band-2-tracklists
EDIT: I guess this brings up the point that Chop Suey isn't a "Solid" guitar song, as well as probably some other songs on that list. Whatever, it's all speculation at this point anyway.

The tricky part about it is that both Serj and Daron (lead guitarist) are singing, and Serj tends to be above him in pitch sometimes but below him other times. If they chart it to just Serj's voice, it can be hard to follow because it wont always be the top voice. While I'm not saying it's gonna be tier 9 material, it'll probably be higher than tier 4-5 (or whatever system they're doing now...)
Also, that part in I Get By isn't just hard because it jumps pitch a lot, but it's so out of key that you have nothing to judge your pitch on. _________________

Yeah, if the list is even half true, we're still getting some incredible tracks from some iconic bands.
Fleetwood Mac and Bad Company?
Fuck yes please. |

I hope only half of the list is true. >_>
There's some great tracks and a lot of tracks that make me go "bleh". _________________

My thoughts exactly. I have a feeling it and Battery will be topping all of the setlists.
Also, I want Death's cover of Painkiller as DLC.
I didn't see anything that makes me wanna puke, except I have one complaint. Dancing Through Sunday > Girl's Got Grey. |

There are a lot of songs on that first list that I've been wanting, such as "Float On" and "Lazy Eye" (though I'd rather have "Well Thought Out Twinkles" for a Silversun Pickups song). _________________

I was looking for a leak thread to discuss this, now this looks like as close as I'll get. I cross-referenced these two lists and found fifty matching songs.
***SPOILER WARNING***
1) Alanis Morissette- You Oughta Know
2) Alice in Chains- Man in the Box
3) Allman Brothers- Ramblin' Man
4) Bikini Kill- Rebel Girl
5) Billy Idol- White Wedding Pt I
6) Blondie- One Way or Another
7) Bob Dylan- Tangled Up in Blue
8) Bon Jovi- Livin' on a Prayer
9) Cheap Trick- Hello There
10) A Devo song (Uncontrollable Urge?)
11) The Donnas – New Kid in School
12) Dream Theater- Panic Attack
13) Duran Duran- Hungry Like the Wolf
14) Elvis Costello- Pump it Up
15) Foo Fighters- Everlong
16) The Go-Go's- We Got the Beat
17) Grateful Dead- The Alabama Getaway
18) The Guess Who- American Woman
19) Interpol- PDA
20) Jane's Addiction- Mountain Song
21) Jethro Tull- Aqualung
22) Joan Jett- Bad Reputation
23) Journey- Anyway You Want It
24) Kansas- Carry On Wayward Son
25) Linkin Park- One Step Closer
26) Lit- My Own Worst Enemy
27) Lush- De-Luxe
28) Megadeth- Peace Sells
29) Modest Mouse- Float On
30) Motorhead- Ace of Spades
31) Nirvana- Drain You
32) Norman Greenbaum- Spirit in the Sky
33) The Offspring- Come Out & Play (Keep 'em Seperated)
34) Paramore- That's What You Get
35) Presidents of the USA- Lump
36) Rage Against the Machine- Testify
37) Ratt- Round & Round
38) Red Hot Chili Peppers- Give it Away
39) Rush- The Trees
40) Smashing Pumpkins- Today
41) Social Distortion- I Was Wrong
42) Soundgarden- Spoonman
43) Squeeze- Cool for Cats
44) Steely Dan- Bodhitsattva
45) Survivor- Eye of the Tiger
46) System of a Down- Chop Suey
47) Talking Heads- Psycho Killer
48) Tenacious D- Master Exploder
49) Testament- Souls of Black
50) The Who- Pinball Wizard
***END SPOILER***
If these lists are to be believed, these can be counted on as in. There's 10 other in one list and 25 more in the other, meaning we could be looking at 90-100 songs on disc.
Also notable were that I found NO discrepancies (same title, different artist/same artist, different song), which in my mind lends credibility to the lists. _________________

Squeeze - Cool for Cats. Just heard that one. Ugh... that singer's voice is so bland. Terrible song IMO.
*puts up flame shield*
The rest of the list is great. |
