So far I have a mid which has all the pitch and lyrics done, but what do i do from there?
I know you need to add P1/P2 sections to the mid, but how would i do that in Cakewalk Sonar? Can anyone guide me? |

MIDI format
Notes 105 and 106 are for marking player 1 and 2. But every phrase in the game wants to have either note 105 playing, note 106 playing or both notes 105 and 106 playing. This is exactly the same as guitar and drum parts, look at an existing song if you can.
You can also add in taps on 96 and OD phrases on 116.
To do this in a MIDI editor you might need to know the note names instead of the numbers: http://tomscarff.tripod.com/midi_analyser/midi_note_numbers_for_octaves.htm
Not sure if you need any "animation" events in the MIDI lyrics, like [idle] or [play] to make it work on PS2 which does no animation, but they're listed somewhere in that MIDI format thread too, and you can just copy examples from existing ones. |
