Even though I posted this elsewhere, just to reiterate - if you can't Gold Star Creep on Guitar, fear Crackity Jones.
Alt-strumming madness between CHORDS to start, and a chart with so few points it might well be like Rockaway Beach and impossible to Gold Star even if you full combo the thing. (Your target's ~91,200. Time for the skilled guitarists to wake up and prove me wrong.)
Every song on Guitar/Bass is Tier 4 or below, but if Crackity Jones is any indication, we may be in for some brutally hard low tier songs. |

Anyone looking to snag that perfect drumming achievement, get Silver. XD
It's all the notes that "29 Fingers" doesn't have. lol |

Okay, if you're looking to save money and you exclusively play drums, skip:
Monkey Gone To Heaven
No 13 Baby
Hey
Silver
Gouge Away
But the rest of the album's great on drums, believe me!
Edit: Heh, for La La Love You on vocals, the whistle is represented by a talky part that says "<whistle>" _________________

Dreamin feels like four or five mini songs packed into a one song shell. O.o
edit: ditto to The Greatest Man That Ever Lived. |

Here's my opinion of the Pixies drum songs:
Crackity Jones: kind of tough, some fast offbeat bass pedal at the beginning and end, otherwise pretty repetitive, just a YO RY YO RY over and over, switching to BO RB and to GO RG now and then.
Dead: Interesting, lots of cymbal, some pretty tricky parts.
Debaser: Really fun and challenging, with some fast parts like Don't Fear the Reaper's ending and some long rolls.
Gouge Away: Pretty dull and slow, same thing over and over again
Here Comes Your Man: Dull with some fun things thrown in
Hey: Really weird, lots of long spaces without notes, pretty simple but there's one long slow blue roll with some greens thrown in, I guess you could either consider it a very slow roll or a very fast normal part.
I Bleed: Very fun, unique main beat and chorus that's pretty tricky to get the hang of.
La La Love You: Only 2 different patterns in this one, one of them is a really fun pattern, but you spend most of the song playing a dull generic beat.
Monkey Gone to Heaven: Dull, but the great song makes up for it somewhat.
Mr. Grieves: Another weird song with lots of long pauses, you play many random fun things, and the beat after the chorus is pretty tricky
No. 13 Baby: Starts out as a mix of dull and interesting, but the last minute or two is just the same thing over and over
Silver: Lowest scoring song ever. 20475 points with 100%. Un-gold-starrable?
Tame: Somewhat interesting, lots of random fast rolls thrown in.
There Goes My Gun: Fun swing beat, fun chorus
If you were only going to get 1 song for drums, I'd pick Debaser, but most of them are really fun, especially Dead, I Bleed, Mr. Grieves, Tame, and There Goes My Gun
Yay, I get to be in 1st for some songs for a brief while! |
