Ummm, here's some hard stuff that I've played (read: on ps3, so no stuff like Deities or Electricity) in a general order of difficulty from hardest to easiest.
Madness
By Your Command
In the Wake of Evolution
Child in Time
The Thief in the Night Part I
Homecoming
Tuesday's Gone
The Complexity of Light
Operation Ground and Pound
Five Magics
The top 3 are interchangeable to me. |

I just went and gold starred everything I had 5* on so I can tell you the two hardest (Im on ps3 so it doesnt include 360 exclusive rbn) are The Complexity Of Light (which is the first song I've found in which blast notes are actually better to use than flame) and Child In Time.
EDIT: OMG YOU *&#^$*#^$*#@ ROCK CENTRAL disconnected me when I finally got the gold...you bastard!

I just got Gold Stars on By Your Command on my sightread. 2nd GS on ps3
I honestly don't know what is so hard about that song. Just used the standard Jackpot, Blast Notes, Super Guitar combo.
I'll try In the Wake of Evolution later
EDIT: Just bought In The Wake of Evolution and also GS'd it on sightread.

i think the gs was under 1.8 mill.

Just gold starred Hundred Wrathful Deities after almost half an hour of getting between 1524k-1526k. The gold star cutoff is right around 1532k. I had to really path out my jackpot uses for the first time ever. Uploading a video which I'll link when it's done.

I knew I was close at guessing that the GS cutoff was 1.5 million.

I'll pay attention to the video as to where you used Jackpot. I hope to get a GS myself, even if it won't be the first ever GS (which yours definitely is).

I updated the OP with a list, as well as songs I've seen people having trouble with. I changed the order a bit on songs I know, but of course it's nowhere near final.

I played By Your Command today, and while I didn't GS it, I got pretty close. (and this was after a finger-breaking Madness grind) I think it could move down a bit.
Speaking of Madness, I got 839k today. GS absolutely can't be more than 5k away, and I hope to get it tomorrow. |

on my BYC sightread I just stayed on guitar in the last minute or so and kept using Jackpot on that fast riff thing. I know it's not that bad of a GS. The 1st place score is quite a bit higher than my sightread.
In The Wake of Evolution I just used Super Keys and jackpot outta of those sustains. I got over 1970k and I can probably get 2 million in a few tries more.

Good idea. I know optimal for a lot of songs would be Jackpot/Flame/Super ***, but if that's not working , I can list specifics. I own almost none of these songs though, save for Five Magics and CoL (of which I suspect optimal would be Jackpot/Blast/Super Guitar). So any help would be appreciated!

Also first GSers, akin to the other top # lists?
Madness = Jackpot/Blast/Super Keys (UnGSed)
Child in Time = Jackpot/Flame/Super Keys or Guitar (MarsPhoenix)
In the Wake of Evolution = Jackpot/Blast/Super Keys (zage1337?)
By Your Command = Jackpot/Blast/Super Guitar (gladiators16?)
The Thief in the Night - Part I = Jackpot/Blast/Super Keys (zage1337)
Homecoming = Jackpot/Blast/Super Guitar (first GS was someone on 360, i don't know who, I got 2nd)
That's what I've currently got for now. I might do a more indepth description for Madness breaking it down checkpoint by checkpoint after I GS, just because of the sheer absurdity of it, if anyone wants it. |
