Out of all those songs, I have two FC'd (RTP-O-D, and TWYG), one I got a minus freaking three on and still no gold star (Chop Suey), and I've never played Supreme Girl. This should be interesting. |

Been grinding Chop Suey today. For this literally being my first time to follow a path, I think I'm doing pretty good with activations. Lots of room for improvement, but I'm satisifed with my score after a half hour of trying. Still no FC though, argh. I keep making the dumbest mistakes, last try I missed in the second verse and the bridge before the outro Ah well, it's definitely possible for me.
On another note, I know nothing about squeeze terminology. Could someone define what ticks, front ends, and back ends are? |

*Sees RTP-O-D and Chop Suey*
ARRGH!!! Why would you choose two of my worst 3 songs on the disk?! Next week I'm expecting Visions and Panic Attack just to screw me over even worse.
At least I'll be placed in the right league... |

Front-end squeezes are about the first note/chord you have under OD at the beginning of an activation. In the best case, you should hit that note late and activate at the same time/slightly before you hit it.
Back-end squeezes are the last note under OD before OD runs out. You may have to hit that note early so that it happens before OD runs out.
When a back-end squeezes occurs on a sustain, you get extra sustain "ticks" under OD, more if you had a good (late) front-end squeeze. _________________

On the off-chance that I re-FC Rob the Prez-O-Dent, I may end up being placed in the higher division. That depends on whether or not you all who say you're bad at Chop Suey are actually bad, or you're just saying that because you think you are when in reality, you're near the top scores. If I get put in the higher division, I will get raped. :/ Please do well everyone else! Lol |

Oh Lord, I really hate having a broken finger, just hope I can get the iron screw next week out of it so I can play my best! Chop Suey is FCable, but very very VERY easy to choke. |

Up and down down part? Er, I don't know what you're talking about, sorry. Although to be honest, that entire song just takes time and effort to get good at. I lucked out and five starred it my first time ever playing it, then after that I never even got four stars on it until one day everything just clicked. The intro is the only part that still really tests me at this point.
^That doesn't go against the whole "don't talk about your scores" thing, does it? If so, please tell me mods, because I'd much rather know this early so I can edit this post and avoid it in the future. |

I presume you mean these bits?Quote: |
13 1 13 1 13 1 13 1 13 1 13 1 13 | I play with that fingering, remembering that every shift is on the eleventh note. So do ten notes in one position then shift down, although I have a problem with speeding up on the sections. Any advice for that, anybody? |

Looks like 74 (which is why it'll be split, assuming we get a good number of submissions for the first round). _________________

Almost 75 FCs, one of which is Chop Suey, all my scores are top 20 on PS2 (and I'm 3rd ovr.), yeah, I'm definitely in the higher division.
Not to brag or anything. Just saying that I'm fairly sure I'm in the higher division. _________________

First, strum the HOPO if you don't already. That makes keeping the beat insanely easier. Secondly, although I don't do this, some people play those with the same fingering as the notes before, instead of switching to middle and pinky. Maybe that would help you. Although I think that'd be a really hard switch, personally.
If there are 74 people, I have a feeling I'll be in the lower division. Yayz. I already have two songs done for the week (as in I don't plan on aiming for a higher score but I may go back if I have time), those being the harder two songs (Chop Suey and Rob), so I'm going to spend a little bit with today's songs and spend the rest of this week focusing on the GH5 rivalry. |

I do strum the HOPO, but I do find it really hard to switch fingering there, although I instinctively try to do so. That doesn't help either.
