Wii! We get the new stuff too? Excellent. I'm picking up the DK songs, Weezer, and Bad Religion. _________________

Just played the Warped Tour songs on guitar. Sightread FC'd Reinventing Your Exit. Pretty easy. I missed in this one bit in the middle of The Downfall of Us All, otherwise it was a fun chordfest. I was going for the vocal FC, but I got pissed off and gave up. 21st Century Digital Boy is the olny song with a solo, 2 actually, and I missed in both. Mad fun. More BR plz. I liked I Didn't Say I Was Powerful... because it had a lot of variety. I'm afraid to try this one on vocals. The Flood was just kinda there for me. It's an OK chordy song, but it didn't do too much for me. I enjoyed this pack, not too hard, but really fun. _________________

Alcoholicans has guitar and drum videos up for the non-Pearl Jam songs (which already have videos on youtube anyway), for anyone who wants to see drum charts (or wants multi-instrument videos, since there don't seem to be any from Corporal Gregg this week).
Nothing too exciting for me this week, but The Flood, the Chiodos song, and the Pearl Jam songs look good on drums. 21st Century Digital Boy drums also have a lot of cool fills, although the rest seems boring. Several songs for my "keep these in mind for when I'm in the mood for downloading some back catalog" list, but no immediate buys. |

Wii doesn't get the new stuff, and the old stuff isn't up yet. >__> _________________

Never, unless the remaining members die and their record company decides to license the tracks. _________________

Holiday in Cambodia really isn't my kind of song (at ALL), but I guess I'll have to look into Electric Crown, since people keep mentioning it to me. |

I'm ashamed at how much I thoroughly enjoy the maroon 5 pack. |

I wasn't expecting much from Maroon 5 (aside from vox), but it has its moments on other instruments. Makes Me Wonder on guitar and Wake Up Call on drums are some that come to mind (it also helps the song are way too damn catchy ).
And the Warped Tour pack is great. Period. |

These are all Drum reviews:
A Day To Remember- The Downfall Of Us All:
It wasn't hard at all, maybe 2 parts that prevented a sightread FC, but the song is addicting. Very catchy.
Bad Religion- 21st Century (Digital Boy):
I absolutely love this song. So many awesome fills towards the end. They aren't too hard to hit, but they are fun as hell. Otherwise, not too much different than most punk songs. The only thing preventing a sightread FC was a small set of triplets at the end that went RYB (like in Under My Wheels). I highly recommend the song for any drummer.
Chiodos- I Didn't Say I Was Powerful, I Said I Was A Wizard:
Meh, pretty boring. Not a huge Chiodos fan, so I didn't expect much in the first place. Nothing too hard. I really can't think of much to say about it.
Underoath- Reinventing Your Exit:
The intro was fun, yet easy. The rest of the song, not too hard. A catchy song though. Aside from the beginning blues, I comboed the rest of it.
The only song I can really recommend to drummers as of yet is 21st Century (Digital Boy). I still have to play the Escape The Fate song. |
