part of me doesn't understand how there can still be wrong disc paths after this much time... but then again, most of me doesn't want to go anywhere near this stupid song so i can see it with this one... if ever there were a song that was worthy of a devil symbol being attached to it, it is this one... even if this is so much easier now that i've been trying to learn it on brutal for months

this path has 291k potential and not even the great cdrock had a score that high before the wipe, so i'm certain enough this is the real one

i just saved you hours of frustration shooting for several hundred points lower... you're welcome ;)

Cold Clear Light: 2/, 2/BOD, 2/BOD, 2/sk1, 3/sk1 (eldersham)

notation fixes etc....
P.S. i noticed after doing this there's no ":" after any of the titles like there are in the other thread, not sure if you want to make that uniform or not

Dream Genie: 2/DOD-ESF, 3/DOD-ES2F (cdrock)
i noticed after the fact he posted the same path as well as confirmed the full squeeze
Halls Of Valhalla: 2/sk4-ESF, 2/sk4-ESF, 3/AT-sk1-ESF, 2/sk4-ESF (Roman)
Little White Church: 2/, 2/, 3/sk2-ESF (Vicromano20)
immediate activation isn't actually possible so technically there should be no skip 1 on 1st act
Uptown Funk: 2/sk1-1p-ESF, 2/ESF*, 3/sk1-ESF, 4/BOD (Roman) *difficult ESF
Your Love: 2/sk1, 2/sk2, 3/sk2-1p-ES (Vicromano20)

in light of the challenge this week I'd like to open debate on the path for At Night in Dreams...

At Night in Dreams: 4/, 3/ (CaptCalamity)
vs
At Night in Dreams: 4/, 2/BOD (WhYYZ)

in the few times i've played this song since i've started taking extensive notes, i've managed +6608 with a 2nd act of 2/BOD and only +6568 with a 2nd act of 3/

then again, i was 2nd on the song before the wipe hit and i'm pretty sure i always used 3/ back then... in this case i think it's possible that these paths might actually be equivalent considering +6568 is what you'll often get using 2/BOD and it's just a matter of how well you activate as opposed to which path you choose, so maybe it's better to put up

At Night in Dreams: 4/, 3/ or 4/, 2/BOD (CaptCalamity/WhYYZ)

From my own testing this week and discussing with others, 3/ is the better second activation for potential points, but 2/BOD provides a safer "floor" for point gains. I got my 163,960 score using 2/BOD, but could push over 164k if I combine a good enough first activation with 3/. I didn't want to risk it on that particular run given the rarity of hitting the first squeeze fully.

Passage to Bangkok: 3/DOD-ESF, 2/sk3 (Roman/dbforthree)

Changing the last activation to 2/sk3 (formerly 2/) yielded higher points on every run I tried. Yields 133k+, which I had not hit with the previous path.

I posted the updated path for A Passage to Bangkok back in January, but it looks like it missed making it into the updated OP. 2/sk3 is definitely better than 2/. Yielded 133,504 which is 1st on PS4. I think the path caps out around 133,6xx but I couldn't get it.

I propose:

Panama: 2/, 2/sk1, 2/DOD-ESF (Vicromano20, cdrock7)

I would argue the ESF is not "hard" here.

Your Love: 2/sk1, 2/sk2, 3/sk2-ESP (Vicromano20)

Unless someone's got some voodoo going here, I have never gotten past 60% in this ES.

I would agree with the Bangkok change personally.

Also:

Caught Up In You: 2/sk1-1p-ESF, 3/sk3-1p-ESF, 2/sk5-1p-ESF, 2/sk1-1p-ESF (Roman)

Renotating this song.

Short Skirt/Long Jacket: 2/BOD, 2/ESF, 2/sk4-ESF (Billtvshow, Roman)

Last act is during an overdrive phrase so can be simplified to:

Short Skirt/Long Jacket: 2/BOD, 2/ESF, 2/DOD-ESF (Billtvshow, Roman)

Short Skirt/Long Jacket: 2/BOD, 2/ESF, 2/DOD-ESF (Billtvshow, Roman)

Short Skirt/Long Jacket: 2/BOD, 2/ES1(60%), 2/DOD-ESF (Billtvshow, Roman, RJUCPU, ProffessorJoe)

Executing a 60% ES1 (this means you pre-fill the pie to ~40% and skip the first window in the phrase you ESP) with an extremely good second activation has a higher yield than using 2/ESF. It is difficult, but this is the path used to achieve scores above 193,376 which appears to be the cap when 2/ESF is used instead.

So you propose the path be the same but no one be warned about a quick window or an esf that may be difficult for some? That's kind of mean, isn't it? These notations are if *someone* may find them useful. Unless its just blatantly put in the wrong place, there should really never be any reason to remove stuff like this.

Has anyone ever got the Dream Genie full ESF?
I managed it once in practice mode but that's it. Never live.

Nevermind. Just got it live. Holy hell is that one hard ESF.

Your Love: 2/, 2/sk2, 3/sk2-ESP(25) (Vicromano20)

Light The Fuse: 2/, 2/sk1, 3/sk1 (DosParkers)

Yeah I've been gunning for Dream Genie for *ever* and have never made it yet. Also miles behind on Your Love and Cedarwood Road which have partial squeezes - well done on hitting the DG ESF!

I'm not sure how I'm so far behind the top scores using the posted paths on Brown Eyed Girl and Hail to the King - are people using freestyle vocals on these songs for extra squeeze?

My top score was done using non-freestyle on HttK but generally you should always use freestyle.

Your Love: I used freestyle to get my score.

Halls of Valhalla is no longer glitched and is one the biggest score variables in on-disc score total. (The other big one is Your Love.)

Glitched how? Does the path need to be changed?
