So I popped in RB3 a few months back, accidentally overwrote my account with a brand new one and lost 6.5 years worth of work. Needless to say, I was pretty close to breaking my RB3 disc in half and probably would have if it would not have been so hard to find another copy of the EA version for Customs.
After taking a well deserved break for the past few months I decided to come back to my original desire of playing through the Canadian content in the game (disc/dlc/rbn/customs), simply because I love Canadian music. I did not have much done on my original play through so its no big deal. Basically i needed something to get me excited after losing all of the work I put in :(
What I did was create a fictional Rock Band Canada HMX version. I kept it unique to 1 song per band and came up with a fictional setlist of 50 songs to play through. It's not the greatest quality (since I had to rely on crappy Indie and metal bands so much) but it's something for me to uniquely work towards. I will end up making another setlist of customs (maybe one for CCC customs and one for actual customs since there are a ton out there).
This was actually a challenge to come up with. a few are stretching the "Canada" of it (like Blood Sweat and Tears, or Buffalo Springfield, the Full Tilt Boogie Band for Janis Joplin), but I don't really care :)
I won't be updating this very much but I will keep it neat and tidy in my google drive.
Basically I am bored and this is what I came up with :)
Here is my custom setlist for Rock Band Canada
- 3 Inches of Blood Battles and Brotherhood
- Alanis Morisette - You Outta Know
- an Unkindness - Foundation
- Anvil - Metal on Metal
- Arkaea - Gone Tomorrow
- Barenaked Ladies - One Week
- Bif Naked - Sick
- Blackguard - Firefight
- Blood Sweat and Tears - Spinning Wheel
- Bryan Adams - Summer of 69
- Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth
- Caludron - All or Nothing
- Cancer Bats - Hail Destroyer
- Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe
- Comeback Kid - Do Yourself a Favor
- Counterparts - Jumping Ship
- Crush Luther - We Are Kings
- Despised Icon - Day of Mounring
- Devin Townsend - By Your Command
- Fake Shark - Real Zombie - Angel Lust
- Finger Eleven - Paralyzer
- Hawk Nelson - Live Life Loud
- Hot Hot Heat - Bandages
- I Mother Earth - Levitate
- Janis Joplin and the Full Tilt Boogie Band - Me and Mr. McGee
- Kataklysm - Determined (Vows of Vengeance)
- Kittie - The Truth
- Loverboy - Working for the Weekend
- Metric - Combat Baby
- Neil Peart - The Hockey Theme
- Nickelback - How You Remind Me
- Rush - 2112: Overture/ The Temples of Syrinx
- Shania Twain - Any Man of Mine
- Shelly Rastin - High Class Trailer Trash
- Silverstein - American Dream
- State of Shock - Money Honey
- Sum 41 - Fat Lip
- Tegan and Sara - The Con
- The Band - The Weight (live)
- The Cliks - Dirty King
- The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets - Shhh...
- The Guess Who - American Woman
- The New Pornographers - Electric Version
- The Riptides - Dial M for Murder
- The Stills - Being Here
- The Tragically Hip - Blow at High Dough
- The Trews - Hold Me in Your Arms
- The Veer Union - Seasons
- Thousand Foot Krutch - Fire it Up
- Three Days Grace - I Hate Everything About You
If I am missing an very obvious ones please let me know. I would love to remove some of these dumb ones for better songs. I did not want to put songs that are garbage on the list (like that stupid Gatling song)
I have way to much time on my hands........lol _________________

i'd pick Burn it to The Ground instead of How You Remind Me. Because if You would have been the better choice but it's not available.
looks like a decent setlist, some filler but you got 2 of the best Canadian Death Metal band in there, Despised Icon & Kataklysm (both are from Montreal). _________________

Ooh, fun. Plenty of variance in quality, popularity (obscure RBN <3) and difficulty. Day of Mourning, Determined, By Your Command, Firefight and Spinning Wheel all fuck with drummers (who aren't Carson, Ross or Isaac apparently) something fierce. I think the collective amount of drums FCs across all those songs can be counted on two hands. Then there's All or Nothing and the aformentioned Firefight and BYC to challenge guitarists and The Weight and Spinning Wheel to entertain keyboardists. Pretty well-rounded setlist. |

Cabanon - It's funny that was kind of my thought as well. I actually put "How You Remind Me" because my intentions were to put "Because of You" on a Customs versions, and I didn't want two heavy Nickelback songs. It's not on the initial one but I may make another some time down the line :)
Midnight-Rider - I think it's going to be a good time. I'm shit at drums but I'll flail through them anyways _________________

This is a great little project for me to do since I can't keep my attention with Rock Band anymore since my RB3 account got deleted. The Canada thing got quite a bit boring so I came up with this much smaller project to play through. Since there are so many customs out there, a large amount of songs from my favorite albums have been made, so why not go there.
So the first album I wanted to play is the debut album by System of a Down. Bought this when I was in High School after seeing the video for War? and Sugar on MuchMusic's old program "Loud" that used to come on Saturday nights. We never had youtube back in the late 90's, so we used to record the video's to VHS and re-watch them during the week. Amazing times, miss them so much!
I can play 11 of the 13 songs. Mind has not been made (worst song on the album anyways), and Spiders is only on RB4 (which I don't have). The Asian release had Marmalade and Storaged on it, so I included that as well since the former was created (and is an amazing song, one of my overall fav's by the band)
Don't have my drums or vocals with me so i will have to play them over Easter I'm thinking.
System of a Down - System of a Down (1998)
Guitar - 7 FC's / 9 Gold Stars / 12 5-Stars

Drums - 0 FC's / 0 Gold Stars / 0 5-Stars
Vocals - 0 FC's / 0 Gold Stars / 0 5-Stars

Total - 17 FC's / 19 Gold Stars / 24 5-Stars
