Welcome summer this week with hits from blink-182 and The Hunna coming to Rock Band 4.
Blink-182 are frequent fliers in Rock Band, and wed be remiss if we didnt add anything from their latest album, California. Bored To Death, the lead single, was an immediate success. Topping the Alternative Songs chart, it became the bands first #1 on the chart in twelve years. Considered a great summer jam, weve decided to bring it over from Rock Band VR just in time for the sun to be out. The harmonies are also just as fun as one would expect from the band, and someone can sing the Matt Skiba line. The bassline has many chords in it, rating it as what would be the toughest instrument if not for the drums. With an outro solo on top of Travis Barkers normal fare, this is one of the toughest blink-182 drum parts Rock Band has.
You & Me from 100, The Hunnas debut album, also joins Rock Band 4 after appearing in Rock Band VR. An English band, the album found success in the UK, debuting at #3 on the UK Indie Chart. You & Me helped the album succeed in America, with the song reaching #28 on the US Alternative Songs chart. The vocals make for great singing solo or with harmonies. The guitar chart has lots of 3-note chord strumming throughout, making for an excellent indie sound to add to a summer playlist. |
