I've not seen any extended length resulting from pausing. Well, not since before they patched it way back in rb3. I think it's perfectly fine to pause in order to line up an end squeeze. Otherwise, let's go back and change some of these paths because I would call BS on a lot of them and highly doubt whoever posted them did them without pausing.

Pausing to line up = OK
