It's probably worth noting that I couldn't find Title.tik. I followed the steps but fstoolbox only searched my SD card and didn't find anything.
edit: it makes both App folders, I was just stupid and named them both meta. Still no bins though. |
Make sure the wadpacker step is actually working. The first number should start at the first bin you're packing and run long enough to cover the app files it created.
|
It does, and it still doesn't work. I'll go back and see if there were any steps I missed, but the wadpacker step looks right to me. _________________

Out of the box, it should be able to create BIN files you'll need. Just give it your console id and it should work.

I downloaded Crazy Tuesday to get the ticket and 000001D2.app files. Crazy Tuesday's .bin files in the sZAE folder are 061.bin and 062.bin. It seems that the only way I can get a custom song to load (without RB3 throwing the "content could not be restored" message) is if the meta file is 061.bin and the song file is 062.bin. If I pack a custom as 063.bin/064.bin, or as 059.bin/060.bin, I get the content error. It's definitely not a file path issue, I've already checked and rechecked and checked again. |
I don't know how the game can enforce it, but make sure your meta files aren't exceeding about 500KB. But you do have it working?

Show me the script you're running. It's probably a simple oversight there. |

I followed the whole guide but my songs doesnt show up in the song selection list.
Rock Band doesnt even load the content in the menu. I did everything what was written in the guide, got .bin files and putted them in sZAE folder etc.
The only thing that was different was that I don't have: title/00010005/735a4145/content
I don't have the 735a4145.
Can someone please help me? Cause I am already trying like 3 days to get this working. Maybe someone can help me on skype?
Please?
EDIT: I have a PAL wii |

Example I want to puth this on RB3
\Lego Rock Band\accidentallyinlove
files in this folder are
accidentallyinlove_plus (Midi File)
songs.dta
upgrades.dta
where do I put these files and what do I edit or run? I tried watching the video too small to see what you did and no voice telling what you did. some text boxes. sorry for all the questions.
not sure what I have to do with files or what to run
Thanks

The http://ge.tt/9b71m4t/v/3 and http://ge.tt/8f2aVwf links you posted do not work.
Is there another working link to get the DLC Packer? Can't seem to even start doing anything without having that. |

Yeah, because you have a PAL wii, that means the game needs the 735a4150 files. Try this for PAL.

Those are only files for upgrading that song. You still need the actual audio and other associated files from the song to get it to work. Recommended method is to get the files out of the Lego Rock Band disc for Wii.
They are working for me. |

*Edited because I managed to figure most of it out.
However, I still have a couple of questions.
Where can I get the common-key? It's supposed to be the easiest step, it seems, but it's the one that's really halting my progress. ShowMiiWads managed to give me "common-key.bin", but you said there should be no file extension. So I only assumed that's not what I need.
Also, how would one go about finding the files that Wii doesn't have (for instance, most RB1 songs and the RBN DLC released for XBox 360 that the Wii didn't get) to convert for Wii import? |

I also recommend that link to all that find this guide confusing. It simplifies EVERYTHING. |

Is there anyone still around who can help me with this. I've looked at it and it seems like wadpacker is just refusing to work for me. _________________

Heya, thanks for making this thread, but I keep finding myself having to start all over, what with the customs I'm trying to create either refusing to load, or coming up as corrupted. :\ _________________

|
|
Sorry for bumping a really, really, REALLY old thread, but for all of those who thought that work on Rock Band 3 customs have been abandoned due to no new posts in this thread, it very much is not. I have massively expanded on this existing guide, collecting all the necessary software in a GitLab repository and getting in touch with Koetsu via his newer accounts (as StackOverflow0x) and others who are still in the Rock Band customs scene. I mention this because I am planning to create a thread that will be a basic guide; based off of the guide found in my GitLab Wiki. It will be posted in a new thread, so as not to clutter up this old thread. I'll link to it in one last comment here when the thread is created.
I would also like to make a public apology to anyone who was irritated by HarvHouHacker1. Yes, that was me. I wanted to recover my old account, and by the grace of God I finally managed to get in touch with JCirri and have it fixed (thank the man when you can!). I'm afraid I might have somewhat been a nuisance with my "HELP!!!" threads, and by contacting whichever mods were available at the time. Now that the problem is solved, I won't do this again, I swear.
Anyway, be looking for a new guide coming real soon! |
