I'd say Earth Wind & Fire and Imagine Dragons are definites based on those hints. Insane Clown Posse seems obvious too, but man I hope not.
In that same screenshot at :29, I see a gentlemanly pumpkin, or a SMASHING Pumpkin. I also see a sticker that says "BAD BAD" which might hint at BADBADNOTGOOD? Seems like a longshot, but I might as well throw it out there.
Then at :51, I'd say Gorillaz are the only thing hinted at there, yeah. As far as I can tell, the Japanese sign is just a sign for the backstage, but I'm having trouble translating it exactly because I don't know shit about Japanese.
Also, right at :30, IMMEDIATELY after the bit at :29, there's a posted that looks like a plant with speakers on it. Soundgarden? _________________

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I'm thinking it's actually Arctic Monkeys. The lines around each of their heads seem very similar to that of a parka's hood. _________________

These right here are awesome. Don't know the other ones so I'll have to listen to them. _________________

Finally, we are getting CAKE in a Rock Band game! My husband really hates that band but I will have a lot of fun with Short Skirt/Long Jacket. He will learn to suffer through it ;P
I need to check out some of these songs but the ones I recognize are pretty awesome. Every day the wait for this game gets harder and harder. _________________

For anybody who doesn't know The Both, it's a collaboration between Aimee Mann and Ted Leo. Which just makes me so happy.
Also, the music video for Milwaukee is basically a Portlandia sketch.

It's a pretty decent list all around. Arctic Monkeys, .38 Special, Soundgarden (which has our first documented RB4 bass solo, if you watch the reveal video), Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Cake, all good. As for the stuff I didn't know beforehand...
Little Big Town is apparently pretty big within the country scene, but I've never heard of them. Little White Church is a pretty rockin' track, and should be a blast on guitar and vocals, regardless of how you feel about the genre.
Lucius sounds pretty decent. Female-led indie pop, so if you liked Metric and The Sounds in RB3, you'll probably get into this.
The Protomen was a name I've heard for years, but never actually taken the effort to listen to. Fun schtick (Mega Man-themed rock operas), and if you're a big fan of Queen or other operatic rock bands, this'll be right up your alley. Should be a good time.
Anybody who's paid attention to HMX bands or the RBN will know Tijuana Sweetheart (formerly known as Vagiant when they appeared in RB1), but I had never heard this song. I mean, it's raucous punk, just like all their other stuff. It's got some fun-sounding guitar riffs in there, and I think it'll be a nice inclusion. |

So here's the instrument compability chart. PS3 WoRtars not working on RB4 is a huge bummer to me and means I have no actual working guitars at the moment. Unless they can get this fixed I guess I'm not getting RB4, at least not at launch. _________________
