Ok. This is an odd song on guitar. Take a look:

Half of the people here say it's 830 notes.
The other half say it's 810.

I personally just re-FC'd it and it said that it was 810 notes.

Now, this wouldn't bother me, except that my score is 5,500 points away from 1st place, despite using the same path that Kyl3Ruth used. Let's be honest, you don't lose 5,500 points from squeezing. Not on a short song like this.

What's strange is that everyone with a very high score seems to say that there are 830 notes in the song. An extra 20 notes could very well increase the score.

Anybody know what is going on here?

Kawigi's site says 810.

all of the scores submitted into imports on RB2 and RB3 also say 810

whatever is causing the 830 note streak is only on the GDRB disc

Nothing caused any sort of extended notestreak. If you play the newer RB games (GD, Beatles, RB3 etc.) on an older CRT tv it is damn near impossible sometimes to read the font they use. So it is simply a misread of the notestreak. It used to happen quite frequently.

A bit late to the party here but remember that KyleRuth exploits the calibration to get maximum points (which I despise but alas) so that's probably why he could be above you. Hell, he is 1100+ points over optimal on Something guitar on Beatles Rock Band because of these awful tricks.
