NOTE: This idea is from SpoonMan. All credits for the poll style/idea goes to him.

For anyone wondering whether this is considered a "poll thread" and thus against the rules: The mods have discussed it and ruled that as long as there is discussion of why a song is chosen as harder/easier, then there is no problem. I would ask all of you to try to add some reasoning to all of your votes going forward if possible.

This is a project that will ultimately create a complete Expert Master FC Breakdown for every game in the RB series combined. There are more than 350 songs, and making a single huge list from scratch that anyone can agree on would simply be impossible. This way it is broken down into smaller sections and can be the most "accurate" possible. It's completely based on the opinion of participants of this thread. I did not make any of the rankings based solely on personal opinion.

It's about time we kept going with this on RB side, and I thought we may as well start with a shorter game to feign actual progress.

1.) Kids in the Street
2.) These Days
3.) We Are Young
4.) So Far Away
5.) Shout
6.) A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me
7.) I'm Still Standing
8.) Jessie's Girl
9.) Always
10.) Pumped Up Kicks
11.) Raise Your Glass
12.) Jungle Boogie
13.) Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)
14.) One Week
15.) Give It Away
16.) Moves Like Jagger
17.) Death on Two Legs
18.) Shine
19.) Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom)
20.) Sing
21.) The Wicker Man
22.) Spoonman
23.) Cult of Personality
24.) Bang Your Head (Metal Health)
25.) Once Bitten, Twice Shy

Groups in super small text for my benefit:

EDIT: I guess I didn't have to double post anyways.

A:

A Little Less Sixteen Candles
Always
Death on Two Legs
Cult of Personality
Bang Your Head (Metal Health)

I was immediately sure on the last 3. BYH is the 2nd hardest in the game (after OB,TS which is probably hardest in the series now), and Cult's solo is harder than anything on DoTL, which is still clearly harder than the other 2. Always is harder than ALLSCALMTM because it's faster, longer, has all the gallops that are the hard parts of ALLSCALMTM plus a bridge that has GB GO transitions.

B:
I'm Still Standing
Jessie's Girl
Jungle Boogie
Give it Away
Diamond Eyes

DE is clearly hardest. GiA has trill mechanics and tough chord changes, which makes it a pretty clear 2nd. JB is missable everywhere. Between ISS and JG, JG has a trill and weird 3 note chord changes and some weird parts in the solo compared to the really straightforward solo of ISS.

C:
Kids in the Street
Pumped Up Kicks
One Week
Moves Like Jagger
Once Bitten, Twice Shy

First and last are easy. KitS has nothing imposing, OBTS is probably the hardest in the series. The middle is more interesting. Pumped Up Kicks has the nasty YB-Y-R-Y-YB quick bits in the solo as well as a couple hooks thrown in. However, those only happen 4 times, where One Week and MLJ have more similar hard parts. The hard parts in each are fast chord changes. MLJ JUST DOESN'T STOP EVER though, and One Week has fewer and is shorter.

D:
So Far Away (Yay I FCed an A7X song!)
Shout
Raise Your Glass
Sing
Shine

I feel the first 3 are well ordered. Shout and RYG are kind of close, but RYG has harder chord changes in my opinion. I can't hit Shine's solo, I can grind out Sing's strumming. Neither one is easy, but I think Shine is a tad bit harder.

E:

These Days
We Are Young
Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)
The Wicker Man
Spoonman

Unpopular opinion I feel, but I'm pretty sure I can play Wicker Man's solo better than Spoonman's. I'll leave this now, but I'll check it later today and fix it if I'm wrong. Also, Spoonman is more missable throughout the rest of the song. We Are Young and These Days are both REALLY easy. I really don't even care what order they go in, but they're probably the easiest 2 songs in the game.

I appreciate the 3 lists I have now, but it would be nice to get some more from other people who browse the forums. I'm sure people have played through Blitz, and I know we can get some opinions!

If you want to do one list at a time or so, it's fine. I just really want to progress through this, and we can get this done in a month or so if we really try.

Group A
A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me
Always
Death on Two Legs
Cult of Personality
Bang Your Head

I can see myself getting Bang Your Head much faster than CoP.

Group B
I'm Still Standing
Jessie's Girl
Jungle Boogie
Give It Away
Diamond Eyes

Toss up between I'm Still Standing and Jessie's Girl imo.

Group C
Kids in the Street
One Week
Pumped Up Kicks
Moves Like Jagger
Once Bitten, Twice Shy

Nothing interesting here.

Group D
So Far Away
Raise Your Glass
Shout
Shine
Sing

Sing's strumming is... not easy.

Group E
These Days
We Are Young
Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)
Spoonman
The Wicker Man

These Days and We Are Young are pretty much interchangeable here. The Wicker Man solo I have more of a problem with then Spoonmans

I made a list earlier and am rating this according to my list. Can't wait to see how different or similar the final list will be.

Group A
A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me
Always
Death on Two Legs (Dedicated To...)
Bang Your Head (Metal Health)
Cult of Personality

Group B
I'm Still Standing
Jungle Boogie
Jessie's Girl
Diamond Eyes
Give It Away

Group C
Kids in the Street
Pumped Up Kicks
One Week
Moves Like Jagger
Once Bitten, Twice Shy (uh, duh)

Group D
Shout
So Far Away
Raise Your Glass
Sing
Shine

Group E
We Are Young
These Days
Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)
Spoonman
The Wicker Man

It's probably too late to retroactively change a vote, but I noticed I forgot to switch SM and TWM.

5 lists is pretty good, I'll start phase 2 in the morning when I get some time.

EDIT: Pinkie, you forgot Jungle Boogie in group B. I'm assuming you wanted it 3rd based on your comment on the group, but I'm not using it in the hard data.

Phase 2: Question 1

Which song is easier to FC, Bang Your Head or Cult of Personalty?

Phase 2: Question 1

Which song is easier to FC, Jungle Boogie or Jessie's Girl?

For 1, I vote for Cult of Personality; BYH is both fast and awkward, where Cult is just fast.

For 2, I'm changing my mind and voting Jungle Boogie. I guess trill mechanics REALLY suck and frankly JB is just the same pattern over and over, and once you get it, you get it. It's not hard either.

edit: I can't read my own questions. Flipping votes now.

I'm still sticking with my gut and going with Bang Your Head. Cult of Personality is more "all over the place," despite BYH's use of lanes.

After doing some research, my first guess was "Jessie's Girl," but I forgot about the solo, so I now go with Jungle Boogie.

Also, malkier, judging from the I description, I think you mixed up JG and JB.

Oops. Fixed it. :p

Cult of Personality. I might just be really horrible with lanes. Bang Your Head solo feels like complete luck to me. The only part that I feel is "luck" based on CoP is the strumming in the second solo.

Jungle Boogie. It's just the same pattern most of the song.

Bang Your Head and Jessie's Girl

The trill lanes are annoying (especially since it's not just one fret), but my experience with CoP from the GH side tells me that it's just too much fretting all over the board.

As for the 2nd, I haven't really heard a bad enough trill in Jessie's Girl to really think it's bad. Granted, I've never seen the chart, but still. Jungle boogie may be a reptetitive chart, but it's harder than the rest of Jessie's Girl.

It's a 4 note trill lane with a hammer-on after it.
