Glad to see 311 in Rock Band! |
I was thinking the same thing, but I guess it makes sense to have Amber for a lower energy song to complement the other two. Also it was a bigger radio hit. |
to be honest, i think Amber is a much better song, at least to listen to
i never really cared for Come Original or All Mixed Up
i think these are very good picks for 311, and if i were to swap any of them out for another song, i would probably want Creatures (For a While) or Love Song (even though that's a cover)
i do agree that Beautiful Disaster would have been the better pick for the pro upgrade though _________________

I officially feel old now. Down was played on damn near every radio station circa 1994, and the band still has a pretty massive following. Think of them as The Grateful Dead for frat guys. _________________

Hm... you might be right. Let's have another look:
Outlived their own genre: check
Peaked early commercially with a rapid downhill slide after the first three-four albums: check
Large following with day-long festivals dedicated to them: check
Lead singer that's either seen as a great guy or an idiot, depending on who you ask: check
...after further review, 311 is, in fact, Pearl Jam for frat guys. _________________

I thought Pearl Jam was Pearl Jam for frat guys.

Now I'm just being contrary. |

I don't think frat guys have listened to Pearl Jam since Ten (or Vitalogy, at the absolute latest). Modern PJ seems to attract Gen-Xers that miss the feeling of going into Sam Goody and CD Warehouse just to browse for hours and talk derisively about Green Day. _________________

I have no disagreement with any word in this post. |

Awesome pack! I haven't listened to Amber yet, but I've blasted out to Beautiful Disaster and Down for so long! Going to pick up some more points so I can get these! Awesome week. |

Finally, 311 gets introduced to Rock Band, and what better way with an amazing three song pack? 3/3 this week. And I agree with Hobo about Applied Science (Live). Would've been great for dem drums. _________________
