While I'm indifferent on Bush and have no real contribution to this thread, I'd like to point out that...

...mostly summarizes these threads. Other than the occasional "Is this song going to be fun to play?" discussion, all that comes out of these DLC announcement threads is people voicing their music opinion. Last time I checked, we have a a part of SH dedicated to that already.

I'm not staying that these threads should stay or go, I'm just pointing out what I've noticed. I will agree that it is kinda nice to be able to check SH to find out what next week's DLC will be instead of having to navigate my way through the RB site.

Picking up Machinehead as was the obvious pick. A shame no Sound of Winter. Honestly, the others are just a little boring to play.

It's been like that since the beginning. You'll get the occasional, "Oh, the drum part should be really cool" from somebody that might alert you to listen for something when you hear the song again, but fewer responses in general means less of those diamonds in the rough.

This week makes me happy, but add me to the list that is a bit surprised that The Sound of Winter isn't in the pack.

Actually, now that I come to think on it, didn't Bush self-publish their latest album? If so, that would make the licensing harder to get anything off their latest in a pack with their older material (but also means the door is open for us to get another pack later).

Their new album is actually on a label that has released a few songs through RBN. I'm sure HMX could've gotten Sound of Winter if they wanted to.

I've only listened to Sixteen Stone. So, this week has gone well for me, then.

I'm sure they could get the song if they'd wanted to; what would not have been so easy is maybe getting it as part of a pack with songs from another label.
