Heh. I guess this will be my first post.
The longest song (for vocals specifically) so far is "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" by Meat Loaf. 130 phrases at 7:55 in length.
The song is broken down into 4 parts.
I. Paradise: A simple start into a groovy transition. Not particularly difficult throughout. The end can be tricky.
Baseball broadcast: The majority being talkies, this is by far the easiest section. The transition back to the singing can easily trip you up if you aren't paying attention.
II. Let Me Sleep On It: By far the hardest part. It's all over the place
pitch-wise. Pitch guide is highly recommended.
III. Praying for the End of Time: Piece of cake if you focus.
The song can be difficult at times. It's fairly straightforward. I didn't mark down my OD-path but it wasn't awful.
MY RESULTS:
My run was a 99% (-4) with Gold stars and a score ofn 567,652.
I got gold right as I passed 545K. (That was my 10th try)
The 4th and 7th sections of the 3rd part of the breakdown were my only slip-ups.
95 streak. 126 hit. 4.2 avg multiplier.
Awesome song. Buy it if you haven't already. It's exhausting but a blast to play. I think it was tiered wrong. It feels harder than Misery Business in my opinion.
I'll put up proof later.

RBN stuff for this week?

Also, I think Paradise is the highest possible score for vocals so far. Well, I'm sure that's been mentioned by now <__<

PS3 gets 5 songs, 360 is shut down till RBN 2.0 opens up, so it will be silent for about a month.

Given the Vox, Guitar, Drum and Bass scores I'm seeing with Paradise, I think as a band this could be the highest scoring non-RBN DLC song ever (normal modes). Guitar can get to almost 500,000, Drums 350,000-400,000ish, and Bass about the same. Keys seems to still be the weakest link, but that might be due to difficulty.

I meant "RBN songs activated on SH this week" >__>

GGAHT is probably higher

"WHere the Light Was Born" is probably highest counting RBN

What about the song I Heard it Through the Grapevine? That song goes on for what feels like 10 minutes, and is a ton of notes for each instrument.

I am curious as to what the RBN songs are for the PS3 this week. Oh well, I guess I will just check them myself when I get home.

Both those songs have significant parts with no vocals, Paradise is a non-stop mouthful.

Yup. GG&HT and Heard it Though the Grapevine don't have very high scoring vox tracks. I'm grading it using the individual instruments to predict band score though. In GG&HT's case, the guitar difficulty doesn't help with total band scoring either, though the long OD duration does. You also don't have the solo bonus, which is fickle and independent of any OD.

Top 10 score range:

GG&HT:
Guitar: 669,000 - 775,000
Bass: 474,000-485,000
Drums: 521,000-523,000
Vox: 152,000-160,000

Grapevine:
Guitar: 529,000 - 540,000
Bass: 388,000-389,000
Drums: 534,000-538,000
Vox: 269,000-275,000

Paradise:
Guitar: 458,000 - 501,000
Bass: 415,000-445,000
Drums: 459,000-486,000
Keys: 300,000-406,000
Vox: 630,000-648,000
Harmonies: 600,000-641,000 (PS3 scores are in the 670,000s, but I took them all from the 360 for consistency sake).

GG&HT and Grapevine might be close if OD is done right, but the vocals on Paradise make it an easy band score winner.

To be fair, pathing is far from done on Paradise less than 7 days after it's been released too, so I could see another 10-30,000 points being squeezed out of each chart (even more so on vocals). Keys might also be lagging more due to less folks playing keys than bass/guitar, but it looks pretty clear that it's the instrument to be left out of a 4(6) man band.
