Hey all,

I'm relatively new here. For Christmas, I picked up a ton of RB stuff for the Wii at a decent price (RB1, 2, Beatles, 3, as well as some instruments). I'm not very good yet, but I like keeping track of my improvements. However, bragging is also a lot of fun.

I don't own any RB guitars, so RB1 G/B is unplayable for me. I know there are methods to put those songs on RB2. Would that still be valid in FC counts?

Also, if I FC a song on all normal instruments except keys, and I FC that song on pro keys. Does it still count as an OMBFC?

Thanks!

You don't have to FC any instrument on Pro for it to be considered an OMBFC. For keys, I think you do, yes, but you can always FC the keys part on guitar (As I recall, this was done with songs like Llama).

Thanks for the quick reply, but I was asking the opposite.

XGtr FC
XBass FC
XDrum FC
XVox FC
PRO XKeys FC

Is that still an OMB FC? Or does it have to be normal XKeys?

Why wouldn't you do regular keys? I guess if you already had Pro-keys done and didn't want to do regular keys, then yes Pro-keys is valid for an OMBFC

Reg keys is just boring, and not very fun.

Also, does an Wii RB1 FC done in RB2 count?

For all intents and purposes, yes, import FCs are generally considered the same as the original-disc FCs. Personally, I like FCing songs on their original disc, because the song was made for that engine. But, if you have a practically unplayable song, because of the engine, like Ggaht, then FCing it on RB2 would definitely count. The thing is, it's just more impressive getting a Ggaht guitar FC on the RB1 engine. This is just my opinion, but I feel a large number on SHers would feel the same. While others would not. It all comes down to what you believe an "FC" to be - if it encompasses imports, different engines, etc.. No one is going to be all like "OMG NO TAKE THE EEEEFFFFF SEEEEEEE DOWN DOOD CUZ IT WAS AN IMPORT HERP DERP", so it's basically up to you.

I know that applies for 360& PS3, but I'm on Wii. We don't get exports, so for all intents and purposes, these would be like customs. Do those still count?

Can be either as long as it's on expert.

The general consensus is that this is fine and it counts.

I'd say no. They're customs, which 1) are not officially recognized on SH and 2) aren't necessarily 100% the same as the RB1 chart.

I agree. With customs, there could be mistakes, they could be broken, or they could be easier. I would just be on the safe side and not say they are FCs. And definitely, under no circumstances, enter those custom scores into the manage scores section.

I don't believe there is a space on the Wii to enter RB1 songs in RB2. I'm glad I asked about the songs though.

However, the custom importing is done automatically though a certain Wii customs program, so I don't see what errors there could be. If it's still invalid, I guess that's a hundred FCs I can't get.

You can definitely get them, just make sure you tell people that it's customs, not imports, and you'll be fine. Also, again, don't enter them into the manage scores.
