rock band 2 and 1360*768 lcd-tv

Hi, so I got a 26" lg lcd and it has a 1360x768 resolution, my ps3 alllow me 720p and 1080i, I took 1080i since it shows me the ps3 menu fullscreen, when in 720p I miss little pieces of screen on the left side and on the bottom.

Everything ok with that and with many games, but with rock band there is no way of not loosing that corner pieces of screen, any help? It's not too much, but it is and has been bothering me ever since I got rb2...
