Welcome to the tournament forum! In here, you are free to post real life tournaments that you have seen or heard of. This announcement was crafted to show you the proper way to set up a tournament topic, and it is important that you set it up with most, if not all, of this information. If any members of the staff feel that the OP does not contain enough information, they will edit the OP to include that information as they see fit. For the sake of simplicity, please follow this format closely. Moderators will periodically come into this forum to sticky and unsticky topics. If you have not had your topic stickied or unstickied and wish for it to be so, feel free to contact a moderator so that they can sticky or unsticky it.
I: How to make a tournament topic
Subject: Town, State - Date (month/day/year) - Title of tournament
Where: This is of the name of the building it is taking place at. Give town and state as well.
When: Give the date (month/day/year) and starting time on that day.
Age Limit: This is so people know whether they can actually go to the tournament. If the tournament is being held at a bar, then it is most likely that minors will not be allowed to participate at the tournament. Some tournaments are only allowed for people UNDER a certain age, so make sure you post the age limit, if there is one.
System: People need to know which system it will be played on. Also, if the tournament states it, please add which difficulties will be played at the tournament.
Instruments: Rock Band is complicated enough to have 4 different instruments. If the information is available, please indicate what instrument the tournament will be for, or, in the most likely case, if it will be a Full Band tournament.
Admission Fee: This needs to be here so people know how much it will cost to enter. People sometimes make decisions based on how high the entry fee is. Also, if the competition is REALLY tough and the admission fee is really high, they might not consider going.
Tournament Format: If known before hand, give specific format of the tournament. Some common ones are single elimination, double elimination, and round robin. Are the rounds best 2 out of 3, 3 out of 5, etc? Not required, but please input if possible.
Prizes: List all prizes here.
II: Contact Information
Website: Give the website of the people hosting this, if possible. In most cases, this means the building that is hosting it.
Location: Put in this format: [road, town, state, zip code].
Phone Number: Give the phone number(s) of all hosts/sponsors.
E-mail Address: Give e-mail address(es) of all hosts/sponsors.
For the topic creator: It is important that this information is readily available to all those who wish to come. If the link does not contain all of this information, it is a good idea for YOU to contact them and obtain as much information as possible. It is your responsibility to make sure that everyone else is informed.
III: Other possibilities:
- If weekly, put day of the week. Maybe indicate winners of previous weeks for informative purposes.
- If you want, put up a list of people that might go. This will be an easy way for people to see the competition and know who they might meet.
- After the tournament, feel free to put up reactions, how the tournament went, pictures, and videos.
Hopefully this announcement gives you all of the information you will need to make an informative post. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, feel free to PM me and I will get back to you quickly. _________________

Also, don't forget to take advantage of the official RB bar night finder at:
http://www.rockband.com/local
The program is a little flakey at times, but I'd recommend that everyone take a look at what (if anything) is located nearby and go out and support them when you can! _________________
