Hey guys, figured I'd start off this new subforum with something that seems pretty obvious: a thread to discuss OD paths for the songs in RBU.

We can have No Solo paths too, but its generally assumed these paths will be used with Solos enabled.

I have no idea where to start with these paths as I just got the game today, so you guys can go ahead and start discussion. I'll be sure to keep them posted and updated in this thread.

Also, we need some sort of notation >_>

If you wanted to activate on the guitar track, couldn't you use something like:

2/Gu/1stG

Where 2 = 2OD, Gu = Guitar, and obviously, 1st G = 1st Green. Would that work? Do the same thing for drums, like:

3/D/2ndYG
4/Ba(bass)/1stY
3/V(Vocals)/3rdR

etc.?

TL's notation idea works for me - should we add another part to each activation stating the number of the phrase?

Like, if his

2/Gu/1stG

happened to be on the 1st G of the 2nd guitar phrase, it could be

2/2ndGu/1stG

unless that's too confusing or unnecessary.

Thats perfectly fine, seeing as activations arent always on the next phrase after getting the amount of OD.

Be that as it may, I'm amazed you guys can activate OD mid phrase. Do you use the default controls or do you have an alternate method?

I personally almost never activate mid-phrase, With my bonus-squeezing in mind, I almost always activate on the last note of the previous phrase to get the bonus squeeze.

A notation for bonus-squeezing could be for example:

2/G/LN (Last Note) OR 2/G/BS (Bonus Squeeze)

But sometimes, activating mid-phrase is the best solution to use up all of the OD without wasting some.

EDIT:

What I do is use the 2 un-used d-pad/face buttons as extra OD buttons so I can slide my finger across the OD button and the button I want to activate on.

Oh, I've got some paths, let me remember them and I'll post them.

BTW the notation above, IMO is the best way to put this. As long as you accept FN as First Note.

LN = last note too? (Just adding to the abrheviations)

Also, I have no clue as to how the heck to path these things. Any suggestions? A link to the paths would help btw.

slight problem.

if you do the number crunching you often never need to activate at the start or end of a phrase. its usually midphrase. that = confusing annotation

EDIT: i will not be releasing any of my paths. there waaaay to crazy and noone uses my button layout
