Congrats! Even if the separate parts are not so difficult, voxtar sightread FCs are hot.

thanks - yeah - there's enough going on, even on an easier song, to offer plenty of opportunities to choke. Even little stuff like checking how much OD I have on both the top and bottom of the screen can make me lose focus for *just long enough* to miss a note on guitar.

The choice is yours.

(just don't choose wrong, or BLAMMO!)

2. Was your null-combo of Polly a sightread?

I failed on my sightread.

(No - really, I did. I wasn't paying attention, missed the first pair of notes going by, and then started wailing on the drums to force the restart.)

I finally NC'ed on my third run, after getting a non-FC-but-still-100% on my second run. (interesting sidenote: overhitting does nothing to your 1x multiplier, so you can get optimal with a 2-streak +25 run)

finally golded NTY. It was about a year ago that I finally felt this was in my reach.

Clearly I was mistaken I've played this song, by far, more than any other, over the past year. I finally figured out the goofy-ass "broken" energy phrase note a month or so ago (which, for the record, I missed in this run.) I had run after run of "not quite as good as that score you got last December" and weeks at a time where my leg just went stupid.

now if I could just get the FC of this and gold on Dead on Arrival...

Dude, nice! I don't know if I could ever get GS on NTY.

Also, update your accomplishments more often!

Similar in spirit to the 58 songs, 58 stars "accomplishment" i had a couple years back, I've just completed my quest to become the first ever to FG1NS an entire game's on-disc setlist.

What's a FG1NS? A full game 1 note-streak. But here's the part that will make the community argue: you ALSO have to get 100%. "But that's not part of the acronym anywhere, so TECHNICALLY YOU DON'T NEED TO GET 100% BECAUSE FG1NS MEANS JUST FULL GAME ONE NOTE STREAK."

Except that you do, because that's the definition I just made up, so too bad.

The scores, complete with pics:

http://rockband.scorehero.com/scores.php?user=107645&game=2&platform=2&size=1&team=0&group=1&diff=1&vox=solo

I also tried to drop all holds as quickly as I could, trying to produce the minimum score possible while still getting 100%. Also I skipped all the BRE sections (but still hit the notes at the end).

possibly-interesting points of note:

Due to the way the rock meter drains (it drains more for dropping/overstrumming early on a hold than a 'regular' note), this made it possible to fail out on songs with lots of holds at the end of the song. White Wedding, IIRC, was one such monster.

Additionally, the best I could ever do, at least when I was paying attention, was a +2 in ticks from a hold, even if I dropped it as quickly as *I* was able to.

The solo bonuses in LTBR make it impossible to *not* 5-star the song if you get 100%.

Any Way you Want it was especially tricky to not inadvertently abuse the timing window and get a 2 NS, since there were frequently 2 notes very close together.

The competition on RB2 Easy Guitar is light enough that I'm currently in 5th place overall.

I'm sure that took just as much work as 70xtar FCs do for some other people, more work even. I laughed at your 5th place comment

I'm glad all your hard work and dedication finally paid off You seemed to bitch about certain songs one minute, then get them the next.

I really wanted to try to do this with you on drums/guitar, but I think the concentration/effort required to 2xFG1NS would just be too much.

Hats off to you, sir. Glad you got this.

No words can describe how amazing this is.

Grandeur is the closest thing I can think of, and hilarious is a close second.
