Discussion for the new format starts on Page 10
Alright Guys. I think you're all right, instead of having one SH Song, we should have a SH Album release, featuring only a few people per song. It'd make things a lot easier to keep up with, too.
So, yes, There will still be teams, etc.etc., but this time, there'll be a full song to be had. I'll assign team leaders to a series of around 6 teams and from there the leaders will have influence of whom can join their respective teams, so on. Team Leaders, your names will be the ones in Red at the top of the Team list. If you're a team leader and you want to switch out so that you could join another Team Leader's song, I'll assign someone else whom isn't already a Team Leader to fill your spot, kay? =D Don't forget to come up with a quirky team name, and a unique song name. The Album name and Band name will be decided by the community as a whole.
Also, if you don't like the instrument I've selected for you, let me know, alright? I'll switch you over. And yeah, you can have two tracks of the same instrument if you want, done by different people. For example, Rhythm Guitar and Lead Guitar, Bassist and Sub Bassist, etc.
Vocalists, Since there are a distinct lack of your epic breed, feel free to join multiple projects, to keep some consistency together as an album. Acappellas are very much welcome if the team decides that it's alright.
If we get more people, I can add another team, by the way.

GENERAL IDEAS WE'VE HAD SO FAR:
+Moar Cowbell!! Does anyone actually play/own a cowbell? xD
+Vocals are to be recorded and finalized last so that we can make sure everything fits with the rest of the production.
+Vocals should have a tongue-and-Cheek sort of humor to them, preferably with tons of references to Scorehero.
+Right before a particularly hard part, the vocalist should be prompted to tell everyone not to choke.
Potential Album Covers:
Potential Band Logos:
(I got the contract from Rhythm Authors and it stated we need a Band Logo as well. I have no idea what shape, or use are to come of these, but... yeah. Anyone wish to shine some light on this?)
Potential Band Names, and Album Names.
(It's up to your team to decide on the song names)

---IRC CHAT---
Southparkhero has made an IRC Chat for us, and has been demanding an OP spot. xP
1. Go to http://www.gamesurge.net
2. Click on "chat"
3. Type in your username, and press "connect"
4. In the chat box, type "/join #shbandhero" (everyone has hero at the end because its easy to remember, aka "bannerhero" "runehero" etc.
5. Then your in!
Band Leaders get "OP" Position.
---AUDIO CHAT---
If you guys want an IRC like chat, that features Audio, check out http://livejam.jimheidinger.com/ . It's usually empty, so why not give it some use, huh? Read the on-screen instructions on the site, and prove those epic skills of yours in real time!
------OLD POST W/INFO: ---------
The idea ------
Hey guys! I just had a pretty neat thought a while ago, and posted it in the Rockband Network thread, but I don't want to clutter that thread, which is why I'm posting this.
The idea is that (RockBand) Scorehero's musicians band together to make a theme song for the site, and then submit it to Rhythm Authors so they can official-itize it and then sell it. All the additional funding would go to either RA or JCirri directly since there'd be too many of us to pay out individually. Think of it as a thank you fo JCirri for making such a badass community, or Rhythm Authors for being epic enough to start that service.
Plus, this way, we can get Scorehero some more recognition from the RB fanbase, and have a lot of fun doing it, too. Perhaps the Starpower podcast could use it as a theme for one (or more) of their shows, too. I think we'd want to make the song similarish to "Guitar Hero" by Monkey Steals the Peach from the first Guitar Hero game, but with a more, I don't know, humorously 'mature' take? Also, if we become overflowed with ideas, we can make several Scorehero Themes, or perhaps have a different idea for each verse, with a seperate set of musicians for each verse. That'd work well, too, if we could get it to sound good =)
EDIT:
Since there are likely a lot of you on the boards whom play real instruments, how about this: We each get paired into groups of 4 (or 5/6 if we get enough Keyboardists/Etc.), and each of us does one verse? The first group to come together would likely get the Intro and chorus, and post their work first, so that the people doing the verses know what they could go from/exit into, making it less of a wild guess and praying it all fits together.
The last team would do the outro, and we'd have to figure out who'd get to do the solos. As a bonus, I think we can all agree that everyone wants a bass solo and a drum solo, as well as a guitar solo and potentially a vocals solo. =) _________________

i dont have any links for my drumming skill but you just have to believe me that im good enough. ive been playing for a while and was a natural from the start. after a 30 minute lesson i was playing shuffle/16th note patterns/hi hat chokes etc and that was a long time ago rofl
as for my drum kit ive got the standard kit
hi hats
snare
2 rack toms
floor tom
bass drum
crash cymbal
ride cymbal
im getting soon a china cybal, double bass and splash. probably a few extra accessories along the way.
i'd also like to point out that I'd be more than happy to have a few drummers, if guitarists can have 3 or 4 people why cant drums xD _________________

Alright! I don't see why not. Each of our "Teams" could handle a verse, even, if we can make a general idea of how they'd match up to a chorus that'd be inbetween each of them, or something.
Also, do you have a good method of recording yourself in high enough quality for this? I assume since you said you'd participate (and I believe you're great, by the way!), you do, but I just wanna be sure. =) _________________

This is a really good idea.
And do you think having multiple singers like Bang Camaro could be a good tribute to Harmonix ? |

(ACK! I hit quote instead of edit!)
And YES. That'd be a godly tribute! That's an amazing idea! _________________

yeah i should be able to get a decent audio quality with some ease
and yay for multiple singers, the more the merrier espcially as its a scorehero tribute, should have as many as we can without it just being a clusterfuck of different bits of music placed randomly everywhere _________________

Oh, and this is the best example of my drumming. I have become a lot better since this video but it's still ok.

This is one of the greatest ideas I've ever read on this site.
My guess is we'll also need an "album cover" to display in the Rock Band Network store much like the songs in the regular store. It's probably a bit early to have people working on that, but it's something for the talented graphical artists of Scorehero to start thinking about. _________________

=3 We won't; we'll be submitting it to Rhythm Authors LLC, and they'll do the charting.
I've updated the OP to include everyone ^^ _________________

Cool idea though.
Edit: This post sounded rather jackass-ish; it wasn't supposed to. i was just trying to get the point across so you all go the right name _________________

If enough people want to do something like this, why not split into the different groups and then each group do a different song. The resulting songs can be voted on by the community and the winning theme makes the cut? Or, to make it less of a competition, you do something similar to those Live-Aid things? Except, you know, more rockin'.
As far as making it more mature, be careful of the lyrics content, RBN submissions have a lot of rules as to what you can and cannot say. _________________

OH! Crap XD My bad, Will edit. And no worries, no offense taken; it's rather funny. XD
EDIT: as "more Mature", I meant something like... I dunno, Tongue and Cheek humor, rather than outright silliness like in Guitar Hero (song.).
However, I wonder if you can mention other songs' names in the lyrics?
EDIT 2: Live Aid thing seems epic, but to have it like a Bang Camaro song.... hmmm... xD Perhaps the chorus could be like a big Bang Camaro style thing, with all the vocalists together, but then on the verses, there's only one or two vocalists? O:
I'm not sure about having it split into more songs; This way, everyone was able to participate, and everyone gets some glory, so to speak, y'know? Rather than "Aw, I did one but it didn't make it..." ^^ Nice ideas, though! _________________
