I was playing a lot of guitar/vocals on Band World Tour Today. Guitar on Expert and Vocals on Easy is what I used most often, because while my pitch is okay, I can't be looking at the vocal meter while doing complicated guitar parts. I have to know that my blindly attempted vocals are going to get me through without failing.

In a way, singing during guitar playing is a lot like when you start getting the feel for an off-beat bass pedal. At first it' really weird, but then your brain somehow gets in a groove of doing two things at once.

I did manage to do Flirtin' With Disaster and Green Grass & High Tides on Hard/Hard, but that's mainly because the vocal parts in both songs are fairly easy (for my voice range, anyway), and I know most of the lyrics.

This is really fun to do if you find expert guitar to be too easy, as it adds a dimension of distraction that makes everything a bit harder. Plus, if your friends are like mine, vocals is the last thing anyone wants to do anyway. And it's not like they're great singers who are shy, they can barely pass on easy. So since I'm stuck with it anyway, I'm really looking forward to being Sting the next time we play and doing bass/vocals for Roxanne.

I have been playing like this a lot actually. I've beaten both guitar and vocal Expert. I can actually beat songs on expert guitar and hardn singing on just about any song without even looking at the arrow for singing. I made m own band just for this (One-Man Band) and have gotten really fr. I got into the Hall of Fame and currently have 3 milliion fans.

Too bad you can't do the Endless Setlist online.

Then again, think of the connection mishaps...

I tried doing a bit of Band World Tour with guitar and vocals, both on Hard. I can actually do pretty well with it on songs that I know well, but...most of the songs, I don't know the lyrics to well enough to sing without looking at the words. Me trying to sing them and play guitar at the same time wasn't pretty.

I've been doing a Bass/Vocal BWT (Usually a lot easier on songs you don't know as well and have to watch both the vocal and the bass tracks in the game.) All up-strumming on the bass, too. It's pretty fun, and I'm actually getting to try out all the bass songs in the game.

Behold, Mr. Pulsar's improvised Mic Stand!

AKA: Camera Tripod + Duct Tape.

I can only do vocals on medium most of the time. I suck at singing.

But I always play guitar on expert so I usually have to worry about it more than the vocals.

Go get a shirt with a pocket on it... like a polo or a dress shirt.

If that doesn't work, I'd go hang my mic off my drumset at full height and sit down. Works pretty well, cept I'm a bit short. ><

I use a headset and I'm able to score decently on Dani California Expert/Expert. Well, in part because I know that song like the back of my hand. The difficulty for me usually depends on how well I know the song, but it's really fun once you get used to it.

Drums and vocals are also really fun if you have a headset. A bit more challenging.

Missing them doesn't count against you, but you can blow into the mic to activate the tamborine parts.

A constant blow, as "extra strumming" isn't counted against? or just the phrase doesn't kill your combo if you don't do it?

I usually just do like a "bop" noise or something into the microphone or count the beat. Sounds that are more percussive tend to register better for me.

That being said, I usually ignore the stuff unless I really need the points for 5 stars.

I make a percussive "dut" with my tongue, as many times used by drumlines when warming up, if anyone knows what I'm talking about. It works fine for me.
