I hit a wall on Hard (DFTR and FP/LT) so I started going through Expert, just to see how well I did.

Maps was an initial stumbling block, but that got taken out of the way fairly easy.

The next one I was really worried about was Reptilia, because it took me SO long to pass that last week on Hard, the damn off beat Bass in the chorus was murder.

But to my surprise I passed Reptilia on my Expert sightread. The chorus part is much easier, with the alternating RB and B Bass hits.

Anyone else agree?

I agree that some songs seem easier on Expert.

Playing Wave of Mutilation for instance on Hard was difficult because of this:

That same section on expert is:

The yellow on every one of the bass hits which makes it a ton easier for me to play.

Hope that makes sense, this board needs drum emoticons!

I'm playing Expert drums in BWT with a friend. We get Don't Fear the Reaper. So I'm like, "Don't forget to save some star power for the end (we still call it that. Sorry), you know I always struggle with the end of this song on hard. Can't imagine what expert will be like. I didn't get this far in the solo career yet." The end came and I killed it. I think the end of that song just flows much better on expert than hard.

In other words, you're not alone.

i find that many things are easier on expert, namely maps, because it just constant bass, and yes reptilia is also easier to me.
