My path:
4/immediate
2/wait two activations (after "I can go with the flow")
2/wait one activation (before first "ah" phrase) |

I've noticed that the activation windows are different for each song. In some you can activate so late that you actually need to hold off on singing for a bit otherwise you'll get a sub-k score on the first phrase. On songs like GWtF, you need to activate well before the window ends or it won't count. It seems to be consistent throughout an entire song, but maybe it's window by window. _________________

I split the the first activation into two and got 152.5k. I believe it was:
2 / imm
2 / skip 2 (before "Falling in and out of love")
Pretty sure the last two activations remain the same. There's actually a guy on PS2 with 153k, but he's not talkin'. _________________

Tried that. It gave about 150kish. If you look through the scores you will see that a good number of the PS2 songs are mapped differently score wise, for example look at the score difference on Maps between PS2 and 360. About 7000 points. Pleasure is about 4k. I would say this happens to be one of the ones that is the same way. Many seem to be mapped identically, but there are those that are not. |

Ah shit... I figured the score discrepancies were only attributable to the percussion sections. Oh well...
Anyone have any idea how to tell which songs are charted differently, i.e. which songs I should try to re-path for PS2? _________________

i top out on 151 on vh's path (thanks btw), but the 2/, 2/skip 2, 2/skip 2, 2/skip 1 is giving you 150 to 151?
guess my 151 is just 2k short b/c of squeezes...i'm more concerned with FCing the song than squeezing, and i think it's kind of weird to go back once you have a song FCed just to work on squeezing, but as faith no more wrote, "it's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it" _________________

Attempting to shed light on the scoring discrepancy between PS2 and PS3/360 on this song:
Kawigi suggested in another thread that perhaps this could be attributable to the PS2 version being more possible to squeeze on. Never having played the PS3/360 versions before, I can't compare them directly.
However, I recorded a video of the PS2 version of this song, and quite easily got over 152K without trying especially hard to squeeze. Would anyone care to look and see what's happening here? It could be that I'm able to activate later in the window.

aye, you are right on SG
xbox and ps3 - we can't activate that late or else it won't activate period hence the 1k difference _________________

Correct. What would be our second activation is basically unsqueezable. I've tried everything to try to get a late activation in that field but it is just impossible in solo tour.
EDIT: To expand, basically anything in the last half of the field yields no arrow even with max sensitivity and a blowhorn (yes I have one). We have to activate earlier in the field. _________________

Just thought I'd note that I used to be in the same boat as you 360 users (pretty much impossible for me to squeeze this song) until I changed the way I activated. I used to say a loud, percussive "HUH" into the mic, but today I tried blowing strongly into the mic for about a second and the squeezes worked much better (i.e. normally). I'm on PS2, but it might still be worth a try for you guys.
EDIT: Just had a really good run with a new path that got me first. "Squeeze" path is:
2/, 2/sk1AS, 2/sk2, 2/sk1.
Big emphasis on "squeeze" though... you need to squeeze the ever-loving shit outta that second activation in order to pick up the next OD phrase. _________________

From what I can tell from experiance, for Phat's path, this is possible by doing a WOO into the microphone right before the last yellow 'circle' in the overdrive activation field. |
