Does anyone know exactly why there's an error with the European 360 ARKs when they're opened with xorloser's now infamous toolset?

It's depressing not being able to extract any of the exclusive tracks...

why

I BELIEVE it's because the PAL ARK has a different header, causing it to not be read correctly by ArkTool, and therefor fail to load, but I'm not xorloser, nor one of the "smarter beings" in the customs section.

How many ARK files are there for the PAL disc? If it's different to the number on the NTSC disc (just 2) that would be enough to mess up most tools that read the ARKs, but probably easy enough to fix.

If it's a full on different header then I'm not smart enough for that either.

Well, in the gen folder, there's a Main.HDR along with three arks - 0, 1, and 2.

Oh, alright. I'm no good at hex editing anyway, so I guess I'll just wait until xorloser fixes it...

Thanks for all the help.

My "number of arks" theory (even though the number IS different for PAL/NTSC it turns out) was based on some other trouble I was having before and I remembered I'd seen something about that in the source code... that was something I'd misread for creating new ark files for the different platforms, never mind!

I read in another thread he's waiting for the PS2 etc. versions to be released for PAL? That could be a long wait.

yeah, that's what he said. i told him that there was no current release schedule but never heard back from him.

his email address can be found in the readme of his tool package, if someone else wants to ask him.
