That's needlessly complicated. Just get a MIDI Pro adapter and use that with the DM5. Forget the Ion module entirely.

Also a viable option. :-)

You can glue on some mousepad foam on top (or any other foam), but you're only going to muffle them a little.

When you get bored with them, then you'll end up upgrading :-)

They are virtually the same pedal to be honest.

The DM5 uses a open/closed signal to trigger HH functions, same as the ION Drum Rocker OEM pedal (via magnetic switch)
